Well, if Seth's going to hold the show hostage next week he might want to consider doing it in hour two to get the most viewers.

Remember when Raw easily got 3 million viewers each week?
Yeah, it's been forever.

Hour 2 has been a strange duck, been getting the most viewers for weeks now, and I can't think of much in particular that'd happen to constitute it happening...

Remember when Raw easily got 3 million viewers each week? Yeah, it's been forever. Viewing habits have changed with streaming, DVR, YouTube highlights, etc. Their relative place on the charts has remained roughly the same.

They've lost viewership hand over first over the last decade, yes some of what you said is true, but it's been more than just "Viewing habits changed", a lot of people left, period, and they didn't come back.

I’m sure some people have stopped following the product altogether. But it’s all just speculating as to how many as some people might have switched to DVR only, some to streaming via Hulu or other cut the cord services.. And some may just watch the highlights that are posted on social media/YouTube, or just follow along on sites like this. Obviously the live viewership is what counts for TV rights purposes, though, so it’s still important to some degree that the raw numbers have gone down in that area. But again they’re still maintaining the number 1 spot on cable most weeks during non-football season, which is why I imagine they’ll sign a new deal for similar or more money.

It's surreal that one of WWE's biggest storylines going right now to the viewing audience is "When is Cody showing up?"

Remember when Raw easily got 3 million viewers each week? Yeah, it's been forever. Nothing draws over 3million on cable except Football and Cable news(old people). Have they lost viewers? Of course, but even if the product was amazing for the last 10 years in a row, they would be struggling to draw over 2 million each week. That's just the reality of cord-cutting and cable these days.

The highest rated shows on network tv in 18-49 this season are: 60 Minutes, Masked Singer, Survivor and American Idol, and 60 Minutes is the only one breaking a 1.0 rating.

You're not wrong but we've also seen some sporting events (the NFL and March Madness come to mind recently) buck these trends and continue to grow their audience and set record highs in spite of cord cutting. If people want to watch, they'll watch. Is it still doing well? Yes. Is there a world where the company was managed better and retained more of their audience? Absolutely.
