Are there any Star Trek novels out there that deal with the history of the Federation, both before and between the different generations?
All I can find are novels that take place concurrently with the various TV shows.

I’m not too versed on Star Trek novels sadly. But there are books that were written as biographies about Captain Kirk and Captain Picard, that could be up your ally.

I want to read a novel written about the three-boobed catgirl from Star Trek V. Throw in Officer M'Ress while you're at it.

I want to read a novel written about the three-boobed catgirl from Star Trek V. Throw in Officer M'Ress while you're at it. Speaking of multi-boobs: when creating TNG Gene Roddenberry intended for Troi to be a hypersexual four-breasted hermaphrodite until D.C. Fontana talked him out of it.

There's also: memory-beta.fandom.com/wiki/Main_PageMemory Beta, the fan wiki for Trek novels, comics, and anything that hasn't been officially released on screen. Similar to the Legends or Extended Universe of Star Wars. I know there's stuff that deals with the Enterprise B and C crews, as well as the Bozeman(that ship captained by Kelse Grammar in one of those time loop TNG episodes)
