Luke Harper. Around the time Wyatt, Orton, and him were feuding. I still think that match at Mania should've been a Triple Threat. The fans were HOT for Harper around this time and they would've bought him winning the title at Mania. Don't know about him winning the match, but a Triple Threat with Harper (or possibly a four-way also involving AJ) was definitely the way to go. I knew that Orton wasn't going to be full-on removed from the match, but I was thrilled at the prospect of getting something other than an Orton/Bray one-on-one borefest. I consider it a broken promise.

For me, it's MVP. He might not have been the "biggest star" but he's definitely the biggest missed opportunity for a main eventer. His mic work was always on point, especially as a heel. He should've been John Cena's greatest opponent but the booking killed him. Nakamura, Ryback, Barrett (Nexus Run) and Kennedy all should've been WWE Champion too. I feel like this si the post I will the most agree with you this basically would have been my post. But specially Ryback too, after MVP, dude was consistently over, just at the tailenmd of his career where it seemed both him and WWE had given up. And MVP has all the tools to be a top heel. Top Face too but his work shined most as a heel

Ryback is the top choice. He was OVER. He should have won the rumble.

Cesaro, Nakamura, Wade Barrett, Kennedy, Morrison... these are all guys who had title matches but never real consideration to be the guy. Either of these guys should've had a minimum 3-month title reign. A lot of these were on the scene with two world titles, and you're telling me they couldn't have held either?
Cesaro could've had a run anywhere in his career after WM30 Nakamura's chance was 2018 Barrett's chance was Nexus Kennedy's chance was MITB in 2007 Morrison's chance was when The Miz had the WWE title reign
All 5 were missed opportunities. I understand not everyone can win a world title, but still.

They could have easily pushed that to a title run as well... instead of leading to... literally nothing.
