In terms of importance? The guys been pushed to the moon for the last 7 years and it’s clear that they wanted him to be the next Cena (who is on a level above Hart and HBK) but for the first 5 years it was kind of a bust. His heel run for the last couple years saved his career. I personally think he’s above the 2 and his heel run will go down as the best in wwe history as a dominant star

Even putting aside any questionso f how good this run he's on actually is, five years of being rejected and poorly built followed by two years of hyperdominance is not putting you above some of the best of all time. HBK's longevity and overall quality and Bret's sheer excellence in his craft are way bigger than one run at the top. A two-year streak should be the cherry on top of your career, not your main course.

It's all about the brand now instead of building stars...so no way.
If WWE bothered to give everyone good storylines and characters, and Reigns was the top dog of that...still no, but at least he would be in the running.

No.
Compare him to maybe at Diesel's level, Yokozuna, Warrior or Sid level's of WWE title.

Hard to really tell. The company isn’t on deaths door like it was when Bret and HBK were on top but really it’s all about longevity and hindsight. It’ll be easier to say when this run is done
He’s definitely above the likes of Diesel and Warrior though

Vince McMahon was so desperate to keep Bret Hart, he was willing to offer him a 20-year deal.
Now, Vince McMahon can replace Roman Reigns in the main event of Wrestlemania with a weeks notice.

Not looking at it from a nostalgic standpoint and at an accomplishment standpoint, absolutely.

No. Bret and Shawn were able to do more with far less.

Bob Backlund was WWWF champion far longer than Billy Graham, but it'd be hard to argue he had anywhere near the same influence or recognition. Being a top name for an extended period doesn't put you over stars who made bigger impacts during shorter bursts.
As of this year, Roman Reigns will have headlined more Wrestlemanias than the Rock. He passed Austin years ago. Would anyone seriously try to argue that Roman's surpassed either of them in star power?

Bret was before my time as a fan, but Roman isn’t close to HBK.

Absolutely not.
Kayfabe wise he's above them, but kayfabe accomplishments don't really mean anything. His body of work and influence aren't anywhere close to those guys'.

Bring this question back when Roman’s career is said and done. Kind of hard to compare when we only have a portion or Roman’s career to compare to the entirety of HBK and Hart’s.

Bret's opinion on what good wrestling constitutes was adopted by countless fans. His influence is insane and far surpasses many with more star power than him. I'd think that Killer Kowalski is above Roman and I only know the former for who he trained.
