Perhaps the most derided year of any company ever but there was still some decent stuff.

3 Count/Dragons/Noble+Karagias. That was an absolute banger

I voted for Goldberg vs Steiner at Fall Brawl.
Probably Goldberg's second best match in WCW, and Big Poppa Pump proving why he belong in the main event much earlier.

Granted I've not seen all of these so can't really judge fairly, however, I'm throwing an 'other' out there.
Mike Awesome Vs Chris Kanyon at Slamboree. The only let down with this is the interference at the end which unfortunately leads to a non-finish. However, the rest of the match itself is hard hitting, with a good pace and some nasty spots.
While it's easy to see why WCW did not incorporate more of this style into the promotion, it's also a shame we didn't get more of it.

I am a big fan of the triple cage match at slamboree 2000.

Goldberg vs Steiner is an absolute banger. Best match in Goldberg's career and I'd struggle to think of a better Steiner singles match (plenty of better tag matches though).

I came in here to say either Goldberg/Steiner or the 3 Way Tag Ladder Match at Starrcade so its not surprising to see these as the top two vote getters so far. For me Goldberg/Steiner shades it- just an unexpectedly amazing match, and while the ladder match is great there was a bit too much 'WOW CAN YOU BELEIVE HOW AMAZING THIS IS? THIS IS THE GREATEST THING EVER AND WHY WCW IS THE BESSSSST' from commentary during it.

The only one of these matches I ever saw was the ladder match. Which was cool and innovative for it's time but the entire concept made no sense. 3 tag teams were competing for one contract for a singles title. WTF?! Why not just make it a 6 way ladder match? Even when WCW attempted to do something good like trying to keep up with the crash and burn ladder matches WWF were putting on at the time, in the end it was still WCW in 2000.

I would have to go back and check but probably something involving Lance Storm. Dude was putting on fantastic matches on a weekly basis.

Probably one of the best 5 minute matches you'll see even if it was obviously rushed and treated like a throwaway. If only they gave them 12-15 minutes and let them main event.

I was going to mention Storm/Booker, as well. Was that the match where they cut to Mike Awesome and his fat ladies at commentary, too?

Big Poppa Pump proving why he belong in the main event much earlier. Absolutely. I know Meltzer derided him a lot during this time, but Steiner was definitely a breath of fresh air as champion compared to the constant title swapping of Jarrett, Nash, Flair and Booker T. He felt credible, looked marketable and at least wasn't another repeat of the tired acts, sans Booker T.

A WCW based around Booker, Storm, Steiner, Awesome, Page and Jarrett would have been brilliant long term.

I voted Flair vs. Funk for their great chemistry together. I've never seen any of these matches listed except the ladder match, but Flair vs Funk is the only match on this list that I would ever seek out. How do you go wrong with those 2 together?!

Jimmy King vs DDP Royal Bash.
Too overbooked for my liking, plus they're pushing The Law far too hard. Hasn't even had a match yet and he's getting pushed as a main event babyface.
Finishing spot was great though. King's a better worker then I give him credit for.
