In a minor way, Sean Waltman twice. Going to WCW to become nWo member Syxx, then to WWF again as X-Pac.

Jericho’s Raw debut got a bigger reaction than he had ever gotten in WCW.
Jeff Hardy did a whole lot of nothing in TNA from 03-06 and fans never really took to him there. He also had one or two ROH appearances and was booed out the building. He returned to WWE in 2006 though and literally in his first night back already felt like a massive star again and began the greatest run of his career.
If it counts Okada going back to NJPW following his disastrous TNA excursion.

Christina going to TNA in 2005. Made him one of my all time favorites. As someone that started watching in 2004 I thought he was just some goober in the wwe, but TNA legitimized him Forsure and also made him One of my favorites. When he came back to wwe in 2009 he became a bigger star because of it. They trusted him to carry the ecw brand and eventually awarded him with a world title (right before the whc went to complete shit)

Hogan going from the AWA to WWF made him the biggest star in the industry
Paul Wight went from "number 5 guy in the NWO smoking bogeys on TV" to "main eventing PPVs as Vince's new toy" immediately.

Two big examples where this should really have happened but didn't are Ric Flair to WWF in 1991, and Bret Hart to WCW in 1997.
With Flair I understand. Heenan built him as the 'real World's champion', but commentary just shit on that. Also, Flair wrestled a very different style and didn't look nearly as impressive as some of the guys he was facing, in the eyes of WWF fans who weren't familiar with him.
Bret should have been brought in as a big f***ing deal, due to all the controversy surrounding his departure, as well as his history with WWF. Instead he was either Hogan's lackey or just having nothing matches in the mid card.

Are we talking about just going and debuting with a company or eventually. Like Austin as the Ringmaster did not seem like a bigger star than Stunning Steve as opposed to Undertaker, who was immediately a bigger star as Undertaker then Mean Mark.
