The references to gross out humor in 1990’s video game commercials made me think of this.

I don't miss every other teen movie having homophobic slurs particularly the F one (not downplaying the other gay slurs just that one seemed to be a favourite)

Need more unnecessary X's and Z's.

What I miss: In your face ads, unnecessary X's and Z's, and everything being XTREME and RADICOOL and everyone had a cool catchphrase!
What I don't miss: Well, let's just say that some stuff from the 90s has aged really really REALLY bad.

I honestly miss listening/watching sports with announcers that are getting drunk during the game and would occasionally plug it like "These ice old Budweiser's are what makes baseball American's Game!" and it's obvious they've been drinking them.
There's still a couple announcers that do it but its normally hidden and not talked about these days.
But man, there was real entertainment in having your blitzed homer going ballistic over a great play or hammering the team for being shitty.
****
I don't miss the days of half the commercials using lots of words containing the letter X, these same commercials normally involved yelling and some sort of real or animated explosion.

I miss raunchy, bombastic humor that wasn’t based around awkwardness.
I miss mainstream angry rock but I think that died out completely around the end of the 00’s decade.
I do not miss anything “XTREME” in advertising. In fact that whole..”YOU DONT DO THIS?! YOURE A LOSER BRO” sentiment that was in a lot of advertising haha.
I don’t miss shock jocks.

I don't miss the "vibe" of the 90's at all.
I used to get beat up and made fun of for liking superheroes and 80's music.
Now I'm still the same way but people think I'm stylish.
For the record, I do like a lot of 90's music and movies, I just don't miss the general vibe in the air of everyone either trying to act all super depressed or super hardcore and bad ass.

Some of the “lad culture” here in the late-90s was obnoxious. Chris Evans and his pissed-up TFI Friday bell-ends, pricks on 18-30 holidays proclaiming it “lads on tour”, giving my favourite lager, Stella Artois a bad name. I certainly drank and behaved like a twat on occasion (I’ll put that down to being young and foolish) but even so, I never went full-blown tosser.

A lot of people (myself included) think of 90-92 as still sort of part of the 80's. It didn't seem to become "the 90's" until like 1993.

I recently looked at some comic books that I have that were released in the mid-1990s. When it came to female characters, particularly protagonists, a lot of them were well-endowed, like having D-cup (maybe higher) breasts, dressed in skimpy outfits, etc. I know that female comic characters in skimpy outfits are still common, but not like how it was back in those days.
What's weird is that even during the better part of the 2000s, we still had Supergirl baring her midriff, whether it's Kara Zor-El or Linda Danvers. I think by the time the 2010s rolled around, Supergirl had her midriff covered more.

I’ll admit to liking some late 90s hard rock, but Godsmack and Papa Roach can’t compete with Boyz II Men or Tony! Toni! Tone!.

I still have a soft spot for Nu Metal.
Not all of it has aged well but some of it is still a fun listen from time to time.

90s was a pretty shit decade for culture in a lot of ways. I think it's weird that some people are nostalgic for it.

I miss my 90s nothing about it I do not miss.
Maybe it was just growing up during the time but life just felt so much more free flowing and just fun.
