Fightful says it's Flair and FTR vs. RICKY STEAMBOAT and Rock 'N Roll. Steamboat vs. Flair one more time, even if it's rough, is probably enough for me to buy out of curiosity. That's sadder yet. Do neither of these men have money? Waitiminit. Doesn't Steamboat have a Legends deal with WWE? Steamboat is signed to a Legends deal, yeah. Doesn't he also have a major health issue, too? Wasn't that why he stopped his brief return a decade ago?

This is one of those things where, like, if you get tickets to go watch this or buy it on PPV I will actively judge you. Ya really don't have anything better to be doing? Read a book? Watch a movie? Learn a new language? Take a walk? Jack off? C'mon man.

Former WCW announcer Chris Cruise is campaigning to stop Ric from wrestling again. Posted from his Facebook, I tried to embed but it didn’t work I have serious issues with Flair wrestling but this dude is straight up jacking off with this stuff. What is emailing the Maryland commission going to do? Even if I thought organizing a campaign was worth this effort he's doing the equivalent of a Change.org petition. Easy Targets are Easy Targets for a reason, sometimes, but even then, it doesn't make someone a hero for taking a swing at one. Nobody has thought about you for 20 years, Chris Cruise.

Asking a hell of a lot of FTR in that match. The Rock & Roll can still do a fun match. I predict a little bit of a shine for the babyfaces, FTR takes over on Ricky Morton, including a brief Flair-Morton interaction, Morton escapes, makes a hot tag to Gibson, RnR clears FTR, Flair and Steamboat have a stare down, do a little bit of something, and FTR gets back in time to screw Steamboat so Flair gets the win.

I imagine Flair will be protected well in this one. Flair vs Steamboat is gonna pop some kind of buyrate even in 2022, it's one of THE rivalries in wrestling that's ever talked about
FTR will definitely be pulling a lot of weight here, but it's probably a dream match all around for them

Apparently the last match they had together was Flair/Austin vs Steamboat/Sting in 1994 Yep and it was a great match. I remember watching it live. youtu.be/zv4FS-uF_RI

If Steamboat has a Legends deal, I can see Vince calling Ricky up to remind him and make him an offer he can't refuse. Bret Hart's been quietly signed to WWE, likely to prevent him working elsewhere in exchange for essentially a decent pension scheme. I wonder if they'd consider doing the same for Flair if it meant keeping him away from stunts like this.

That was not the cause of it though but it was said that he can’t wrestle again. I would think of what we know now about head injuries and concussions that people would know not to wrestle but than again , maybe brain aneurysms and concussions are different so who am I to judge?

Flair craves the attention he gets from performing, and simply has nothing else in his life that can substitute for it.

The fact that it's produced under Jim Crockett Promotions cause somebody just felt like it is hilarious I really thought WWE owned that, but I guess not. Thats what I thought too. Because Turner brought it to turn it to WCW. Now that WWE owns WCW, I thought that meant he owns JCP. Which made it strange to me from my earlier post.

Bret is signed to a merchandising deal, not an actual contract, according to Dave Meltzer. He could go work for AEW without any issue. It's why Jake Roberts has an AEW contract but we still get Jake Roberts WWE action figures.

Still, this whole stunt feels as though it's begging for someone to step in and offer a pension and/or long-term care for Flair so that he's not demeaning himself or the business by working a match under these circumstances. All this match will do is to prove how carny the business still is.

to me, it's not the "he's getting older" thing, it's that he has a pacemaker to keep him alive inside of him. Is he just going to tag in and do a couple of chops, woo, and strut back out of the ring, or is he expecting himself to be doing backdrops and the flip in the corner. even the flair flop would be landing on his chest. to the best of my knowledge, the other guys (steamboat, rock n roll express, sting, etc) still have their original body parts, they're just getting older, where I'm more concerned for flair's safety if he thinks he's doing to be actively doing stuff.

I’m sure Conrad will be selective with who gets a mic.

Wasn't expecting him to agree to the match in the first place, but its good to see official confirmation that Steamboat wants no part of this.
