Wasn't expecting him to agree to the match in the first place, but its good to see official confirmation that Steamboat wants no part of this. Good for Steamboat for listening to your body and your career and not giving into temptation…unlike Flair.

Bret Hart's been quietly signed to WWE, likely to prevent him working elsewhere in exchange for essentially a decent pension scheme. I wonder if they'd consider doing the same for Flair if it meant keeping him away from stunts like this. This is inaccurate. Bret is signed to a merchandising deal, not an actual contract, according to Dave Meltzer. He could go work for AEW without any issue. It's why Jake Roberts has an AEW contract but we still get Jake Roberts WWE action figures. Bret's deal is with WWE, but Jake's deal for the figures is directly with Mattel. If a talent has no other type of WWE merchandise outside of action figures or appearing in the video games, they typically have a contract with 2K and/or Mattel, not WWE.

I know that train has long since left the station, plunged into Shonash Ravine, and exploded spectacularly, but Ric could learn a thing or two from Steamboat.

I respect Steamboat for knowing what he can and can't do and not feel like he cheating the fans.

Good call by Steamboat, that last match with Jericho is a great way to go out.
I'm assuming this will just end up being Lethal considering how they have worked together, but I wonder if they will try to get another old timer

In one of my medication-ruined because Cymbalta and Lipitor screw your dream patterns upfueled dreams, AEW and WWE were in the same building seperated only by a basement and Ric Flair was with the AEW section but said something incoherent and wandered off.
Seriously. It's right up there with the one where the Bucks and Cody had signed me to AEW and for some reason the four of us got lost and ended up in the top of an old barn.
....I have to stay on these meds to keep the depression and cholesterol at bay.

The starrcast ad for the Horsemen reunion is advertised as a "first time, last time, only time" sort of thing where all six men will be on stage together. I guess it counts since they usually had reunions where one person was missing-either Lex or Flair when Arn, JJ, Tully and Barry did the reunions together or the hall of fame.
I'm guessing with some of their ages and health it may truly be a last time/only time type of thing, sadly. But part of me truly does think Flair is hoping this will be his Randy the Ram type moment. I personally prefer to think Randy lived and got to live with Pam happily forever but Flair sure seems like he wants to go out in a body bag.

Yeah, the NWA Legends Fanfest did a reunion of the original lineup with Ole and the Windham lineup, but there was no Luger. I’ve seen a few over the last few years, but as mentioned, either Flair or Luger would be absent.
Sadly, Ole is no longer able to attend things like this. It wouldn’t surprise me if this does end up being the last time they’re all in the same place at the same time.

This better end with Lethal taking Flair's clothes and burning them to gain his power.

Hogan should(and likely will) decline this as well

It might work if the two of them just stand on the apron the entire time then tag in long enough for Hogan to hit the world's most gentle Axe Bomber before swiftly tagging out to avoid having to risk destroying his back by bending over for the pin, but anything more than that they'd probably both die.
