There was Rainbow Islands and Parasol Stars, starring the leads in their human forms. And there was a Bubble Bobble 2 in 93. And the Puzzle Bobble series And a sequel on the Switch a couple of years ago: (Nintendo's current console seems to be the go to place for bringing back old arcade franchises that have fallen by the wayside.)

Some of the most forgotten arcade titles are ones that don't even exist in any form anymore. Sega's original Heavyweight Champ from 1976 was the first ever fighting game, and not only is it considered lost, this the only footage of it that's even known to exist:
