Looking back at this feud, did it do anything for Rhodes or Dibiase?
DX won the feud and they weren't really treated as real threats.
Did anyone else not like this feud?

I was surprised they won the falls count anywhere submission match.

Should have won the whole feud. DX was bulletproof in the fans eyes. Give Legacy the win.

I remember they beat HHH in a handicap match and HHH immediately got on the mic and in this goofy ass voice goes like "ohhh gosh oh jeez those guys really beat me up wow"

It kind of sucked. Just fodder for NewDX and if legacy benefited from it at all, it was backstage/inner-working stuff.

I was surprised they won the falls count anywhere submission match. I remember really enjoying that match compared to the Cell match they had, the figure four/million dollar dream combo on Shawn on the ringpost while Triple H crawls to down the ramp unable to save him was quite good.

I need to go back and watch it, I forgot they had a cell match.

Besides that Triple H promo, the main things I remember about it are thinking the Breaking Point match was pretty good and that stupid Beat the Clock match that started the feud (pretty sure it was the same show with the dog promo) where Triple H failed to win in time because suddenly the rules were that hitting someone not involved in the match would result in a DQ.

I feel like Rhodes and DiBiase didn't necessarily benefit a ton from the feud, but nor were they buried by it. I guess submitting HBK is pretty nice for someone in the position they were in, so they got that out of it.

I remember being pretty optimistic about it because when Legacy attacked DX during their return promo, it came off great. Then, oh yeah, it was 2000's Triple H, and the "beating them by destroying them still puts them over" kind of mentality. So, no. It didn't do shit for Cody and DiBiase.

Outside of maybe Rated-RKO, I don't think anyone benefited from working with DX post-2006. Hell you could argue that Steve Austin was the only person who feuded with any incarnation of the Shawn Michaels/HHH DX and came out the better for it.

I think Cody and Ted absolutely benefited from the feud. When they were with Orton they didn't come off like Orton/Batista in Evolution as these hot future stars. They were complete lackeys more like the Bashams when they were with JBL. They didn't even make the Wrestlemania card. They were with Orton for a year before the DX feud began and did absolutely nothing of note. They were going nowhere. All of a sudden though they start a feud with DX and they're in a marquee match at Summerslam, beat them at Breaking Point, main event Hell in a Cell then after that feud they start showing dissension with Orton eventually leading to the Legacy triple threat at Wrestlemania. They definitely felt more important during and after that feud than they did before.

I remember they beat HHH in a handicap match and HHH immediately got on the mic and in this goofy ass voice goes like "ohhh gosh oh jeez those guys really beat me up wow" I literally remember during that match thinking "How are they going to play this when the story needs Hunter to lose to have a reason to bring in HBK but Triple H can't let himself ever look vulnerable?" and then Legacy wins, HHH gets the mic and immediately starts joking around about it, segment ends with him posing in the ring to his theme while Cody and Ted stand on the stage looking terrified of him.

Hunter was literally one of those OP fighting game boss characters who after you knock their health down to zero, they regenerate their meter a la Gill in Third Strike and it’s like you did all that work for diddley squat.
