Zeo is probably my all time favorite team from an in-universe perspective. Bringing Jason back was def a major move and skipping ahead to Turbo, while making the new team was a much better move since the old team seen so much. I do wish Adam got his chance to lead his own team like they were positioning him to do Which I thought was going to happen what with them adapting MegaRanger and the black ranger being the leader of that team. The episode he came back for should have been Carlos getting the boot back to earth and Adam taking over.

I think they sort of got in their own ways a few times with that In hindsight, if they didn't have Andros storyline it would been good to have Adam back and be the one to deliver the blow to Zordon which is probably the only real little blemish I have with In Space as far as Andros delivering the killing blow

Second vote for Zeo having the best theme.
Didn't love its villains but it really refreshed the show. I remember being interested again when Zeo hit.

As a kid you scheduled your f***ing life around this moment lol.

If they would had gave him, Thuy and Walter the bumps in their money they most def would had stuck around

To be honest with you, as a Tommy kid, I was happy Jason came back, but it wasn't make it or break it for me.

They just decided to switch up the whole cast after JDF and Cat wanted out but JYB was def gearing up to run the group at some point but I assume they thought it easier to replace everyone which I think helped overall anyway Jason coming back was def a good nostalgia boost even tho he wasn't gone long. The way they wrote him out was good but the Turbo movie just sort of act like it didn't happen

Yeah, they kind of like pigeonholed themself with the I love like you brother thing and their still being some romantic tension between Tommy/Kimberly Tho at this point Tommy/Kat is pretty much canon and I am sort of surprised they haven't tried to do a season yet with PR kids. Good excuse to do a big nostalgia trip

Are there any bad episodes in the Zeo run because it doesn't seem like it?

Are there any bad episodes in the Zeo run because it doesn't seem like it? But even then they sort of still left it in the air but they basically put a seal on it with the Tommy comic from a few years ago with him having a son with Kat There were no real bad episodes for Zeo. They had a few goofy episodes but then were able to mix in the serious stuff. Even hitting old beats like Evil Tommy didn't turn out bad It is easy to forget how fast Zeo went by. April-November. Jason was only the Gold ranger for a month

Too lazy to look for the other PR thread so will post it here
Plan to reread the PR comics. It was really good for a hot min and then I fell off as the "originals" were ending 2 years ago. Beyond the Grid and Necessary Evil dragged and I got burned out by it so it shouldn't be as bad since I can speed through those parts when I get to it

I noticed Tommy still had Saba when he had Falconzord.
Did Saba and Falconzord ever interact in any scene? It would be useless for him to continue to have Saba if it did nothing for Falconzord.

Couldn’t disagree with this thread more. I recently watched through all of MMPR and 3 is hands-down the best season. Compelling story arcs that weren’t just about Tommy losing or gaining powers. Fun new villains like Master Vile and Rito. The bad guys are actually a good balance between goofy/threatening and get some real wins. Bulk and Skull as cops was a great direction to take them.
My big hot take is that all the fuss about how Zedd was “ruined” doesn’t really hold up. Zedd was only interesting for a very short time in S2. Once the show settled into the usual routine he became as boring and one-note as Rita was in S1. The two are ultimately more effective, and more fun to watch episode-to-episode, as a couple.

So I never got into the Japanese version of the series until I recently found them on Youtube. The complete series. Watching bits and pieces here. The storylines are so much better than the american counter parts spliced in fight scenes.
Also the Zords having a personality and feelings, not just being a robotnic mercenary is amazing storyline progression. When Dragon Caesar lost Burai, it took him a while to accept Geki as the one holding the Green Ranger powers.
Amazing! I have a whole new series now to watch and see where all the spliced in scenes for the american counter parts are. The two Dragon Caesar's was an amazing scene too.

If you break this season down into two periods. Which one was better?
The Kimberly episodes or the Katherine episodes when she took over?
