Nobody ever sets up and delivers a shoulder breaker like that, no wonder it looked awkward. I seems like Molly was going for a tombstone then realised "woah, I can't steal that", instead improvising a sloppy shoulder breaker.

I mean, shows how damn good Molly is that she was able to salvage that, but I wonder if she was trying to go for something unique and it just was too awkward. That happens, I guess, when you go for the unorthodox. Sometimes you discover no one's doing it that way because it doesn't work.

Compare this to Nia's botched shoulderbreaker on Charlotte where after delivering the move, she dropped Charlotte in a way that could have lead to a head/neck injury, but thankfully didn't...

Shows how much of a pro Molly always has been.

Just based on never having seen a shoulder breaker performed that way before. Normally the opponent is scooped up more onto the shoulder, like a powerslam. However, watching it again a few times, it seems another possible move Holly was going for was a kinda modified tilt a whirl side slam, similar to what Test used to do.

Molly scoops up Trish with good momentum and it looks like she is going to swing her around to her left side. Trish hooks her arms around Molly, breaking that momentum, and Molly just goes for a shite looking shoulder breaker instead.

I could be wrong, of course, and maybe just over analysing and over thinking it.

I've seen the tilt a whirl into th shoulder breaker like that before.

Molly has her too low, or Trish locks her hands before Molly managed to get her up higher... or both.

Too low? I thought the initial height was good for the move then Trish slipped down a bit I think

The whole point of locking ones hands in such a position is to make sure you don't slip. Once Trish locked her hands she wasn't going anywhere, up or down.
