He's the REAL "Mr. Wrestlemania".
But which of his matches is the best one?

Definitely going to have to say Vince, that match is a blast.

For me, it has to be the Warrior match at WM6, which had no right being as spectacular as it was, considering who was involved. Both men kicked it up to a higher gear that Warrior only achieved one other time in his career (against Savage at WM7) and Hogan maybe only once or twice himself. And the finish was a genuine holy-shit moment, unlike most of Hogan's other WM appearances, where you could be almost certain he was going over. I was 12 and absolutely stunned that he lost clean. That was a massive deal in 1990.
I'd put Hogan-Rock at WM18 second for the crowd investment alone, followed by Hogan-Savage at WM5.

Hogan/Warrior really felt like an unimaginable battle of two superheroes when you're a kid, and revisiting it, the atmosphere of the match still makes it feel that way.
I would go with this one slightly over WM 18, just because it's closer to Hogan's prime, is a rare face vs. face main event, and also is one of the few truly great Warrior matches.

Savage. An excellent match.
The Rock match could have just been them staring at each other the whole time and it would have been magic.
In ring, I gotta go Savage.

5 was a great match.
6 has the edge because the outcome wasn't obvious.

I’m most partial to the Savage match, but I’m incredibly impressed looking back at how well directed and dramatic the Warrior match was (which is completely unlike their 1998 affair). The Rock match isn’t bad but that was a different Hulk with way more miles on his bump card.

There will never be another match like Hogan Vs Warrior at Wrestlemania VI. I think it was to the rock n wrestling era, or however you want to name it, what Austin Vs Rock at Wrestlemania X-Seven was to the Attitude era. The absolute peak. It didn't get any bigger, and it was a decline from there.
Though I'd argue Hogan/Warrior was the better match when looked at in context of respective timeframes

In terms of overall spectacle? It's Andre.
In terms of actual workrate and whatnot? It's Warrior. That match was far better than you'd ever expect

A tie between V, VI & X-8 in my eyes.

Hogan VS Savage is my all time absolute favorite match. The drama, the storyline, the in ring stuff ... it's just perfection.
Hogan/Warrior is a spectacle and Hogan/Andre has what, in my opinion is the GREATEST WRESTLEMANIA MOMENT of all time.
Honestly the only match of his at Mania that I don't like, is the WM 9 tag. Just didn't seem important enough. And the bs finish sucks.
The match with Yoko is hated online, but the crowd loved it!
The Sid match is good, but the botched finish hurts it.
Vs Rock is just a masterclass on how to have a 5 star match, while actually doing very little.

Going to use Best Match to count literally everything surrounding it... but Hogan vs. Andre.
From a workrate perspective yeah it was awful... but like everything else about it was spectacular and pretty much made Wrestlemania what it is.

I get all the reasons it’s something else, but I had to go with Andre at III. I think they executed the story of the match perfectly.

Some others have more nostalgia which I get but to me, Savage at Mania V is the best overall package.

Yeah, I gotta go with Warrior.
For two wrestlers who weren't "good wrestlers", they told a pretty convincing story. There is no reason that match turned out as good as it did.
As already mentioned, the conclusion wasn't written in stone, so it was very easy to get invested in the match

Voted Andre. Moves wise it sucked, but spectacle wise it was never topped.

I find it funny that a guy whose main gimmick during his career was that of an American patriot had two of his best matches in Canada.

I voted vs Rock. But I do enjoy the Slaughter match ignoring the horrible storyline
