Jeff Hardy has had nine matches in two and a half months in AEW, this next one being #10. Of those matches, HALF of them have involved either ladders (table match v Butcher/Blade, this triple threat match coming up), high balcony jumps (tornado tag v AFO) or that Swanton onto the stairs spot (no DQ match v Allin, Double Or Nothing match v Young Bucks). LET THE MAN HEAL. Seriously they just had to pull him out of Dynamite last week for either a broken foot or a concussion and now he's in another crazy ladder match where he's just about guaranteed to jump off something and take another nightmare bump. Like, what?? In general I think the way AEW's booked Jeff's run so far has been very "let's get what we can out of him while we still can" and I rly don't like it. Bad vibes all around.

The only way, and literally the only way, I can be fine with this is if this is their way of writing them off for a bit with the Bucks winning the tag belts, Jeff being carted off for some reason and you can still do the "Christian turns on Jungle Boy" stuff at the end since the spot would probably be taking out Luchasaurus too or something.
Otherwise...not entirely fine with this.

This is the same promotion that, just weeks ago, promoted Darby and Jeff hurting themselves with faux concern.
The match happened. Jeff hurt himself. He’s still feeling the pain.
I can hope they’ll book more smartly next week. But there’s no reason to think that they will.

Watching Jeff Hardy try to recapture his former glory and destroy his body in gimmick matches isn’t for me. Pass.

They might have to patch him up like Cody was for HITC and somehow he got both wrestlers and fans over despite being reckless...

I actually cringed when they announced this. I hope it's a way of writing Jeff off for a while.

Jeff’s booking in AEW has been terrible at best and completely irresponsible at worst. Just because he’ll do something doesn’t mean you should have him do it.

And while I did not have a major problem with Cody wrestling even tho he most likely shouldn't have, the threat of a potential concussion from Jeff worries me because he seems to get knocked more loopy easier over the years

Is TK secretly working with Christian and is hell bent on killing Jeff Hardy. WTF man, this really concerns me about Jeff's well being and why TK is booking him like this. I definitely know Jeff won't refuse to do these stunts because wrestlers sometimes need someone to tell them no.

As they build up, it becomes more and more likely that more and more will follow, especially when you have a wrestling style like Jeff Hardy does.

The shots and moves you can take and do when you was younger is not the case now. You see it all the time in combat sports. Chuck Liddell went from having a damn great chin to after years of taking shots, the man was getting knocked out left and right

Ladder match for Jeff doesn’t seem smart. Matt said Jeff can’t even remember the Double or Nothing match, which was like 2 weeks ago.

In general I think the way AEW's booked Jeff's run so far has been very "let's get what we can out of him while we still can" and I rly don't like it. Bad vibes all around. AEW doesn't usually come off as outright being slimy with its stuff but this all feels very slimy. They have to know he's barely holding on because he's been 'barely holding on' for like a decade and it has only gotten worse as time went on. And it iwll only keep getting worse. He's in bad shape. They can tell he's in bad shape. They have eyes. This idea of throwing him into car crash shit because he's willing to do big spectacle spots and they want to get every last bit of value out of him before his contract gets shelved due to retirement or catastrophe is ugly but it's harder by the day to feel like that's not what's happening.

Jeff's at the point where he should be hidden in 8 man tags on TV and maybe let him work a big match on a PPV. The fact that a triple threat ladder match is happening next week as opposed to some big retirement match for him or something feels weird to me. I have some nits here or there with AEW's storytelling, especially lately, but I am genuinely worried about how they're running Jeff into the ground.

AEW usually takes things slow so it's noticeable when they run shit fast and Jeff feels like he's being booked by Hogan era TNA where they burn through months of storyline in one week. Darby vs Jeff was advertised a week out and set as a first round tournament match with no meat to it. That's nuts to me.

A triple threat ladder match involving the Bucks and Jungle Boy/Luchasarus should be must-watch, amazing TV. Adding the Hardys in there just reduces my interest to near zero because I don't want to see what Jeff is going to try and do to himself.

Giving The Hardys over a long deserving Santana & Ortiz would been asinine

Giving The Hardys over a long deserving Santana & Ortiz would been asinine I'd agree but based on how Ortiz seems to be acting in interactions (or lack thereof) with Ortiz/Eddie I get the impression there's at least some truth to the rumors of a falling out
