WWE say that Cody is going to be out of action for 9 months.
That is a massive blow. Cody has been a breath of fresh air over the last 2 months and WWE actually presented him as a franchise player.

Probably intentionally exaggerating the expected recovery time like they've done in the past so that people aren't expecting him at the Rumble but even if it is 9 months so be it, take your time and don't rush back. He'll get his title win it's just a matter of when.

9 months which is code for surprise royal rumble return. Yeah, Dr. Google has 4-6 months for a full recovery with a few more months before bench pressing. So, a Rumble return and victory with a very light schedule before WM.

serious question but would they test for roids while you're out? always attributed Cena's demented Rumble return to hammering those. Just that, of course! not saying anything else, but the Rumble return always seemed like it would have needed that

Honestly if he were legit going to be out for nine months they probably wouldn't have put a timetable on it.

As a baseball fan, you very well know that just because something is on the banned substance list it doesn't mean that talent gets tested for it.

Even if his results looked a bit suspect it could be 'attributed' to other means. Guaranteed a lot of these guys are still on something most of the year, but they will know the routine for hiding it when they know they are likely to be tested. Combined with the likelihood that the fed's testing policy isn't that strict to begin with.

The Therapeutic Use Exception window is massive compared to other sports orgs that drug test according to some shoots. I'd be more concerned if Cody wasn't on anything during rehab

As long as you don't abuse it (can you even abuse HGH in the same way as anabolic steroids?), it should be fine imo.

Dude needs to do performance art stuff on RAW for the next 6 months. Highest rated segment of 2022 ends up being a Cody promo where he's naked and talking about Sisyphus.
