Most of the popular worker guys now like Balor, Omega, Adam Cole, Zayn.
These guys are great wrestlers, don't get me wrong, but they have no character IMO. What separates them from a Stone Cold or a Ric Flair is all in the presentation.
In a world where everyone on the roster is a great worker, these guys don't stand out to me.

Dislike is two strong a word but for the purpose of the threat i'll roll with the punches Becky Lynch. Her "The Man" character was good for what it was but the shelf life for me ran pretty fast. People were shitting on themselves in the Mania build when she never really looked weak at all during the whole build and made to look like Charlotte and Ronda was not on her level. No telling how long the run would have actually gone since they really had no end and was forced to end it when she got pregnant
I still maintain the main issue (if not the only issue) with the WM 35 main-event build is that WWE couldn't decide on whether to make Becky an underdog or an unstoppable badass, and tried to make her both at the same time. She got classic underdog moments like being 'injured' or being 'arrested' but it never felt anything other than completely obvious that she was winning. This went to ludicrous extents like her easily beating up Charlotte while on crutches, or the time she easily beat Ronda in a beat-the-clock despite getting attacked before the match, so as you say, neither felt like an actual threat. Yet at the same time, those fans who just wanted Becky conquering all couldn't be entirely happy cause they had bits like Becky's apology--even though it was obviously meant to be perfunctory, it cut against their idea of the character. Of course, my more controversial opinion is that the Mania moment would have felt bigger if she hadn't already won the Rumble--the crowd absolutely loved that when it happened, but I think there was more story potential in Charlotte cheating her out of the Rumble and Becky then winning everything at Mania. It would also have had the advantage of Becky just getting into the match rather than the awkward 'Becky's in the match but now she's not in the match but now she is in the match' structure they went with.

Shawn Michaels is the big one for me. He's had a few matches I enjoy, and I won't say he awful.
BUT...
He was never the guy WWE treated him as. They put him on the Hulk Hogan/Steve Austin level and he's just not. IMO HBK wouldn't Crack a top 50 list of best wrestlers ever.
There's so many people better at what he did, and he was a negative draw. Honestly He's the most overrated main event star ever. He was fine as an upper midcard guy but a main guy? No.
CM Punk is one who I can't get into now. He's just terrible in the ring now, and his anti WWE stuff pisses me off. Noone would f***ing care about you if you didn't WRESTLE for WWE. you over inflated f*** bag.

I could never get into Cesaro, either. He's got a cool moveset but he's one of the most generic-looking wrestlers I've ever seen.

Also, as someone who lived in a rural, Appalachian area and was constantly bullied in middle and high school by the most redneck kids imaginable, I absolutely HATED Steve Austin.
I've since come around on him, though.

I dunno about dislike but it’s hard being a Punk fan at times.
Regal when he was active.
Cena 7 times out of 10 during his era.
Danielson until WWE.

I can see, objectively, that Becky Lynch is one of the most over female talents in WWE and has been for years
But I have never understood the hype, at all. Sasha has a great gimmick, Bayley is an all rounder, Charlotte is a tremendous wrestler, Becky? Never seen a match where I enjoyed it because of her, never enjoyed a promo of hers that I can remember, and found the whole The Man character utterly insincere

Actually on the Horsewomen subject, I really have no earthly idea what people see in Bayley. I think she was pretty much only ever any good in NXT and don't think I've really seen much of anything from her on the main roster I've enjoyed. As a heel she does have the occasional good one-liner but I still find her largely kind of shitty in the ring and just not very interesting as a character on the whole.

Shawn Michaels was very good, both in his initial run and in his comeback, but in the comeback, I really hated that a terribly habit he picked up was throwing like 400 chops per match. It was especially weird because he had decent punches, so... why? For all the talk people have of Triple H emulating Flair too hard, HBK was just as guilty in that era.

Despite first getting into wrestling as a young teen during the Attitude Era, I couldn't stand Stone Cold. He just came off like a try-hard bully to me.
Randy Orton bores me to tears 95% of the time. Funny enough, one time I was actually entertained by him was the Jinder feud.
Goldberg- see "Randy Orton".
Even before the heinous ending, I was never a fan of Benoit's. I remember him showing up in WWF/E with a lot of buzz in my local circles, so I was excited to see what he was all about, but I'm just not a fan of technical wrestling.
If we're doing periods/character arcs:
Becky Lynch pre The Man. Her punning face phase irrationally irritated me.
I've never seen his pre-WWE stuff, but I found Daniel Bryan to be woefully unlikable, whereas I'm cool with Bryan Danielson.

As a mark, I couldn't stand Goldberg because I thought the streak was the stupidest, phoniest thing ever - most of those wins were over schlubs like Roadblock and Rick Fuller, or absolute nobodies like Johnny Attitude. The night he faced Raven for the US Title was the first night I ever watched WWF instead of WCW, because I was so disinterested in watching one of my favorite wrestlers lose to my (at the time) all time least favorite. And then why did people who never actually won matches keep earning US Title shots against Goldberg. And why did they always celebrate like they won the superbowl if they got a single offensive move in? I was happy during the Fingerpoke of Doom because I hated Goldberg so much anything that ended with him beaten down for a change was awesome by me.

Never cared for Paige. Don't thunk she's that good a wrestler and her character work did nothing for me. Never thought she was worth the trouble she's was part of but The Rock really wanted to make a movie about her WWE had to keep her on for that mainstream exposure.

Dusty Rhodes tops my list. Everything about him - his appearance, his moveset, his character back story, the things he says, and the way he says them - annoys me and actively works together to make me dislike him more.
I didn't like Randy Savage at all when he was active. I appreciate him a lot more in hindsight.
The Rock is similar to Randy Savage.
CM Punk, somewhat. He had a lot of fantastic matches, but didn't interest me in any way when he wasn't fighting, outside of the Straight Edge Society period.
For current guys, I find Kyle O'Reilly incredibly boring, and Orange Cassidy incredibly stupid.

Even at the time?must admit when you watch the Rocks stuff back its corny but at the time i thought it was the best stuff going I never liked the guy. I think it just has a lot to do with the kind of stuff I'm into. When the Rock was hitting his stride in the Attitide Era, I was in my early teens and already into the skate punk scene and stuff. I wasn't into some dude spouting off about $500 shirts and shit like that. I was way more into Stone Cold giving the finger and DX telling people to suck it. Honestly, the Rock was exactly the kind of guy I hated. And then there were the catchphrases, which always just seemed so corny to me. Some of them were just kinda old man sayings like "smell what I'm cooking", which only got worse once he added the tongue waving. Others were just awful, like the whole roody pooh candy ass thing, or pie, or "how's your lips", or popcorn fart, or...pretty much anything else he ever said. Just so stupid. But yeah, I just never got into the guy, and unless he was involved with Foley, him showing up on screen was an opportunity to check in on Nitro for me. Those were my exact feelings on The Rock at the time too. I always thought he was a douchebag, not a "cool heel" or whatever his shit was supposed to be.

I like most wrestlers, but something about Ricky Starks just doesn't quiet click for me. I still find myself wanting good things for him, mostly for other fan's sake, but when he's on my screen I'm like "... I kinda don't get it?".

I have never been able to root for Matt Hardy after he posted a goddamn fake suicide note.
I think Bray Wyatt is legitimately one of the most overrated wrestlers of all time. His promos sounded good but were all rambling nonsense, his matches sucked, both the Fiend mask and his hillbilly attire looked awful, and his "creative genius" amounted to "I go over everyone." No thanks.
Kyle O'Reilly is the human equivalent of cardboard.
I understand why people like Kenny Omega but he's just never done it for me.
