Which wrestlers over years who have been very popular did you not like? For me it was Chris Jericho.Even as a young teen during the attitude era i found his promos cringey and goofy and could never take to him. Who are some wrestlers who were very over you couldn't take to?

Honestly the main one is Cena. I'm not gonna be one of those people who say he objectively sucked, because he didn't, in fact he's had some matches that I loved, but goddamn did I not care for him, not when he punched Angle, not when he was a rapper, not when he was a main eventer. People told me for years I'd miss him once he was gone. Haven't missed him at all.

Will Ospreay. Even disregarding that him and all his Swords of Essex mates are legit pieces of shit, he has terrible promos and terrible ring psychology.
Seriously, ever seen how he was between making it big in NJPW and turning heel? Every promo was this "I am very important and I can change the world" stuff yelled into the mic

Will Ospreay. Still trying to figure out the how's of his existence.
The Young Bucks are a lot of what I hate in ring (though I will acknowledge what they've done for the business and have improved a lot).
Darby Allin. I don't get his appeal either, nor understand his booking in relation to his presentation. Let's not ignore his glossed over Speaking Out items.
John Cena for the standard reasons.
The Rock and I cannot explain why. Like him now.

Hogan. Least until he was Hollywood Hogan. Was never a fan of huge fan of the All American Hogan years.
I'll throw in a popular faction and say Nexus. Never got the love for them and never saw Barrett as a world champ.

There are several, but this subject begins and ends with the Rock for me.
Hated the catchphrases, delivery, look, hokey offense, just absolutely everything about him.
Honorable mentions: Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton

Shawn Michaels, he was a particularly unlikeable face while I was a WWE fan in the 90s and I hated his comedy overselling.
I still dislike the young Bucks for their psychology free clusterbleep matches when they're capable of so much better. Their bad habits seeped into the AEW tag division as a whole and tag matches would be multiman chaos where getting spots in was more important than telling any sort of story, and the face/heel dynamic was meaningless as faces would spend most of the match doubleteaming and suckerpunching the heel on the apron, you know, things that are meant to generate heat when a heel does them.

I didn't appreciate Austin until years after he was gone. To me he was just lazy. Punch, What?, kick, What?, stunner, what?, beer, what?, middle fingers, what?, stunner again, what? I didn't get it at all until I started watching back the Bret feud and his subsequent rise and actually saw the "stone cold" part, the super intense and calculating almost serial killer vibe he had to him that he lost somewhere along the way.

WALTER/GUNTHER- boring and not over, but management will be blamed when he fizzles out despite being booked as a monster.

AJ Lee had some genuine talent, but I never got into her work. Eventually came off as an unlikable babyface, her in ring stuff rarely rose above solid, and even things like her famous divas pipe bomb promo felt overhyped. I'm not saying she wasn't critical in making the presentation of women better with her actions, and her being so open about her mental health struggles is genuine positive, but as a wrestler she was at best a B minus talent that stood out because she was surrounded by a division that was consistently below average.

The Ultimate Warrior. Never liked anything he did in the ring and his whole gimmick and mannerisms really annoyed me. Only thing I liked about him was his WWF entrance music.

I only ever enjoyed his character work whenever it was "I'm the top guy and final boss, go f*** yourself", which pretty much only happened vs Styles and Owens. Any other character he's had just felt too tryhard for my taste, and considering I was 12 when he started to get popular, I don't think the "his character is for kids" reasoning works on me. Still, massive respect for him as a worker and human in general, just not my cup of tea.

Yeah i think Austin before he got super over was a better character and certainly a better wrestler before his injury
