So the company that did the signed pre-orders for Renee Paquette (the former Renee Young)'s cookbook 'Messy in the Kitchen' is having a massive blowout sale on their inventory and you can get a signed copy of the cookbook for $10. As someone who cooks a lot, it's a fabulous cookbook. In particular, her lamb burgers (the lamb jam) and coconut rice have become a regular part of my dining rotation. Even if you're not a fan of cooking, there's some great anecdotes and some adorable photos of her, her husband Mox and their pets. Definitely worth the $10 - premierecollectibles.com/messy

I’ll think about it strictly from a cooking standpoint, because I f***ing love cooking, and I’m always looking to learn something that I didn’t know before.

Do the recipes consist mostly of hobo delicacies? "This recipe is great for when you have company! Great to bust out no matter who your husband brings home. Loved by Young Lions and raccoons alike"

Those lamb burgers sound delicious, but it’s a shame this thing must’ve sold poorly. I clicked your link and was on the site for literally 5 seconds when I spotted the Best Selling Autographed Books section. This was the second thing listed and selling for $35: Could you imagine sales for that even being in the double digits?

Why does she need a cookbook? I refuse to believe Jon Moxley eats anything besides Mulligan Stew and stale donuts.

He probably buys a lot of them himself to pump the numbers and distributes them. This is something a lot of lower-level "celebrities" often do. It's shady, but not uncommon, and is also used to make them seem like a bigger deal than they are.

My local walmart had it for sell for a couple months and I don't think anyone bought a copy of it.

It's shady, but not uncommon, and is also used to make them seem like a bigger deal than they are. I know Ben Kissel from Last Podcast on the Left said this was common practice for authors when he worked for a certain news channel. Only there the bigger machine behind the channel would have employees go out and buy the books rather than it being the author directly. Not to get too deep in the weeds here, but Tyrus worked for (still works for?) the same channel… Oddly enough I was familiar with the Tyrus memoir before this due to seeing it on Amazon’s list of best selling wrestling books. There though it was at least more realistically placed being pretty far down the list of best selling wrestling books. More concerning though, if it really is just Tyrus buying all his own books, that means he’s doing it across multiple platforms. Hopefully he’s better with his money than that. The less incentive he has to return to TV, the better.

That said, he probably gets at least some of them, signs them, and sells them personally or gives some away at appearances or something, the latter he could write off as a promotional expense.

The cookbook came in the mail, today!! Does it look like there’s a lot of good recipes? I’m considering a copy, and the recipes are actually the draw for me.

Do the recipes consist mostly of hobo delicacies? If so, it better tell you which Four Loko flavor pairs best with each meal.
