I'm sort of surprised that Cobb and O-Khan's places wouldn't be traded, just since Okada vs Jeff Cobb is a match NJPW have run a lot of times. I'm not complaining, though, as I do like the idea of Cobb vs Archer and Cobb vs JONAH. Man, my sympathies towards everyone who's going to have to have serviceable matches with Fale. I don't even want to shit on the guy, as I think people have sometimes been overly dismissive towards him in the past, but he's showing his mileage a lot in recent years. Who knows, though, maybe the smaller work load this G1 will be more forgiving on his body.

Block A being the big boy block is fun. Can see it coming down to Okada and Cobb.
Block B is interesting, some good matches in here. Kind of wonder if they're going to use this as a chance to push O'Khan as a singles guy, but White vs Ishii and SANADA will be good. Also some talentless f***wit is there.
Block C is probably the most interesting in terms of match quality. With the smaller number of matches, can Tanahashi, Naito, Goto and KENTA deliver? Also EVIL will he actually do some work?
Block D is a bit of a wash for me, but will never say no to another Ospraey vs Shingo match. But Finlay, Yujiro and Yoshi-Hashi in the same block is a bit off putting.

For B, guessing you mean Owens as said f***wit. I honestly sort of forget he exists, at times. I do hope O-Khan gets some shine, but I am biased, I like the guy. C. I do hope Togo dials things back a bit with EVIL. I'll tolerate some cheating for some matches, but if he does the same Dick Togo song and dance for all of the matches, I'm going to be really annoyed, especially if Henare pulls that, too. I know UE don't abuse cheating as much as Bullet Club, especially House of Torture, do, but it's a worry. D. Being honest, I have warmed up to Hashi a good deal, but yeah, Yujiro's got so little credibility and Finlay is still kind of developing in terms of singles potential, so it might be a bit rough. Having all three in one block is a bit odd, but I guess Shingo and Ospreay can likely milk something out of them, and ELP has relatively easy opponents for his move into the heavyweight division.

He is, but his size plus his rugby past, along with running a wrestling school, mean he's pretty rough. Not exactly shocked he vanishes from time to time.

Having all three in one block is a bit odd, but I guess Shingo and Ospreay can likely milk something out of them, and ELP has relatively easy opponents for his move into the heavyweight division. Indeed it is. I'm mean to Owens I know, but hes such a black hole of talent and charisma to me and I just don't understand why he gets the position he does. I'm all in on good guy pervert O'Khan so really hoping he gets some breakout performances. I'm hoping they keep the cheating low, or at least reserve it just for EVILs matches. Henare desperately needs some break out matches from this g1. I enjoyed Yoshi-Hashi's tag run with Goto, but... well just look at his face in the g1 promo pick, how can I take him seriously. He'll have some decent but forgettable matches and that's it. Would love to be proven wrong though.
