Because I had looked through a lot of my collection of things, such as music CDs, DVDs/Blu Rays, video games, and comic books, I had to look through some stuff to consider downsizing my collection, as well as seeing what I could do without. I must note that a lot of my stuff had been built up for many years. I still listen CDs from time to time. I haven't fully crossed over to streaming music, and while I have downloaded stuff from iTunes in the past, it hasn't happened in a while. I also must note that parts of my collection were because some things were given to me, whether it was as a gift or someone didn't want it anymore and just gave it to me. Also, parts of it were from yard sales and closing sales from some stores.
The first thing I want to ask is about video games. I still have my PS2 games and some I am considering selling to a local gaming store. Yes, I know I won't get much, but that doesn't bother me. One is a game that my dad bought years ago and probably doesn't remember getting it. It's a racing game, by the way. Other examples are games I later double-dipped on digitally. For example, I remember buying Beyond Good & Evil for the PS2 and I later on bought the HD version on PS3. I could also say the same about some PS4 ports of PS2 games, such as the GTA trilogy (and I mean the PS2 versions, not the Definitive Editions), Manhunt, The Warriors, and Bully. I still have the PS2 versions of those games. I could sell Bully and Manhunt. Regarding The Warriors, it could also be done unless I want to hear the Joe Walsh song in the credits because that beat-'em-up minigame is still in the port. However, regarding the GTA titles, I am iffy on selling them because I have the original version of Vice City that has some of the original dialogue from the Cuban/Haitian gang warfare storyline, as well as some songs still being in it. San Andreas also has some songs intact if I really want to hear them again.
I haven't fully made up my mind, so I will see about some stuff little by little. I would gladly donate some DVDs to Goodwill or sell them on eBay. Like I remember my sister and my brother-in-law giving me their Family Guy DVDs when I didn't want them. Again, I will look through some stuff, but for the games I had double-dipped on both physically and digitally, should I just get rid of the older versions?
