It's a belt for crossover appeal and international talents More than likely will be defended in New Japan, DDT, and AAA much easier via whoever owns it.

The Middle Atlantic states, commonly shortened to Mid-Atlantic states, is a region of the United States generally located in the overlap between the Northeastern and Southeastern States. Its exact definition differs upon source, but the region typically includes Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. When discussing climate, Connecticut is sometimes included in the region, as its climate is closer to that of the Mid-Atlantic states than the rest of the New England states.[3] The Mid-Atlantic has played an important role in the development of American culture, commerce, trade, and industry;[4] in the late 19th century, the Mid-Atlantic was called "the typically American" region by Frederick Jackson Turner.

All Atlantic that includes pacific country flags...Mixed reactions a cross the board on it really due to a variety of reasons and none of them are the design (except the flags)...That design is sick! A portion of the fanbase hates the name...others defend it saying all Atlantic covers everything since the Atlantic technically does which is weird grasping at straws. Some do not care and wish it was an alternate belt like a trios title which is coming regardless. It will eventually work out and they will likely settle into a WCW'esque US and TV role with the belts.
The fact that Cole and Britt carrying the Owen belts like they will change hands at some point is what has me a little intrigued.

Long story short, it is something that seems to be AEW's international title, like something someone like a Japanese guest wrestler, or someone from Mexico, etc, could win and possibly defend outside of AEW. Probably is meant to increase AEW's international presence, sort of like how sometimes, NJPW guys will challenge for/win titles in RevPro in the UK, or previously, in ROH in the US.

Still want that Cartoon Network Championship. All the wrestlers vying for it would be outlandish and ridiculous characters. It would be perfect for Danhausen.

Why do they need that? Between the two owned promotions they have like 7 singles men’s titles already. (Worldx2, tv, pure, ftw, tnt, Owen hart champion). Any one of those can be used for the same purpose. Hell they could make a promotion of exclusively international talent if they wanted. At what point does it become making people happy by giving them titles?

Because then you have a title that can be focused around promoting your company in other venues and you won't have to wonder " why is X champions not in Dynamite?" ROH is ROH ,its kinda being held until it gets it own show. ftw is even in Kayfabe, a prop. The aew and TNT title should be a constant thing in the show . This is not even a new concept. It's also likely this title will be more likely to be won by outside talent

should have made it the "Oceanic" title- that way they cover all the countries touched by oceans instead of calling it atlantic and including japan. and it'd be different from the world title because the world title includes all the landlocked countries too

Zarian confirmed on Mat Men, that Discovery asked for the belt, and with Forbidden Door Tony went with this idea

At what point does it become making people happy by giving them titles? The ROH titles will eventually be on whatever TV ROH gets. The Owen belts were never intended to be defended and the winners have already stopped bringing them on TV. FTW has never been an official AEW championship and is just a Team Taz vanity title. Instead of changing the established rules and reasons behind those titles, AEW decided to bring in a new one. I agree that there are too many belts on AEW TV right now, but none of them are intended to be there long-term and will eventually go. The Owen belts already have. The All Atlantic belt will stick around.

Just wait till they bring in the roh six man.

The All Atlantic belt will stick around. Ftw has been a long term thing. Roh so far exists exclusively on aew. Look I get what you’re saying, but they don’t have to change the rules. Moro refuses to defend against filthy Americans. PAC takes the title home and challenges people to come to him. Record matches in other promotions defending it. Roh tv champion Samoa joe just wants to be on tv so he defends the Roh title across sixteen promotions on their tv. It’s easy to make a storyline reason. Rules only matter when they’re convenient in AEW. It’s not hard to change things.

It’s an interesting concept, and I’m sure it will lead to some really good matches along the lines of Takeshita taking it to DDT, Fenix/Penta taking it to AAA, any NJPW crossovers. Dream would be it’s the reason we get Jun vs Kingston in Japan for it.
Helps raise awareness for other promotions, and AEW in other parts of the world.
