It's about time Coolio made a mainstream comeback. Gangsta's Paradise is a classic album with tracks like the title track and Excercise Yo Game. Then My Soul came out which wasn't as successful and now he's releasing albums which don't seem to hit as hard as his first one. I'd rather see a legend like this man back rather than these bubblegum clowns out today.

Bubblegum Clowns sound like an awesome name for a band.
I thought Coolio was ok, but after the deal with Weird Al, he just came off like he took himself way too seriously. This from a man who sang Fantastic Voyage.

"We ain't got no car...... fool!" That "fool" part of the quote used to be a bit of a catchphrase amongst my inner circle of friends. A couple of friends and I had an inpromptu drinking session and broke out our old Rap Mix cd's. "Ghetto Highlights" from Gangsta's Paradise came on. We all seemed to agree that he is due for another cd like that.

I was a real big fan of that song he did about safe sex and condoms.
And by "real big fan", I mean "was hospitalized for 6 days recovering from laughter-induced injuries".

I have XM and there's a station on there run by Snoop Dogg called "The Rhyme" and they play all classic hip hop.
Not just the mainstream stuff either, a lot of the less mainstream rap acts from the early-90s too.
Plus, there's a show especially dedicated to underground hip hop from that late-90s.
It's f***in awesome!

I thought Coolio was ok, but after the deal with Weird Al, he just came off like he took himself way too seriously. This from a man who sang Fantastic Voyage. I agree the Weird Al thing was a really stupid moment for Coolio, as most people see Yankovich's parodies as almost like a sign of really making it. Coolio was alright, he was good for the era he was in. I dunno if he could really make it today

In fact, I'd demand that I work with him on it.

Coolio's a f***ing douche (I'm gonna rant). He acted like he was pissed at Al for doing the parody cause he thought it'd get him some publicity and it'd be thought of as cool to say he didn't approve. But thrilled with the cut he got of the album sales of a song he sampled from STEVIE WONDER's music. He's as useless as a condom vending machine in the Vatican. There, now I feel better. ;D

The guitarist from Dire Straights worked with him on Al's "money for nothing" parody (Beverly Hillbillies) Mark Knopfler. You will not argue with him, only nod your head. Also, if we're mocking him for the "Amish Paradise" thing, someone needs to go to town on James Blunt's record label for quashing "You're Pitiful".
