Who remember the Disney Channel Hot Days Cool Nights campaign, I certainly do, I wish they bought this song back.

Huh, I'm kinda curious how Disney got the rights to air All Dogs Go to Heaven and Thumbelina.

Huh, I'm kinda curious how Disney got the rights to air All Dogs Go to Heaven and Thumbelina. It’s the same way Cartoon Network is able to air the TMNT movies, Men in Black and the Shreks in the last few weeks. If a company wants to air your movies and pay you for doing it, there are very few companies that’d say no to that.

Which is also why nowadays 90 percent of TNT's movie output are Marvel/Star Wars films. (I mean what else are they going to air the DCEU films?)

You should have been around in the 80s then. TDC aired everything. The Superman movies, the Adam West Batman movie, Charlie Brown, Don Bluth...

I mean, they still air those but that seems to be Acme Hour’s job on CN for the most part, which is a strange sentence to write. Basically, these companies sign these long term deals to get the extra cash because, well, you’re not going to refuse the extra cash as a business, are you?

Also back then idk how many movies Nick was showing on the regular so who else would you license your movie to? Which elephant movie was that Operation: Dumbo Drop Or Larger Than Life?

Exactly, Nick was showing movies but it wasn't exactly a priority when their other shows were doing rocket busters and the movies were the cheapest stuff they could get their hands on from a box fallen from a truck coming from Vancouver.
