I was sitting down chatting with my mom as she was watching the Hallmark Xmas movie last night and a plot point in it was time travel during a christmas moon or a Blue Moon on December 24th... you can see my problem with this. I was fine with the time travel but not with f***ing of the moon's orbit.

I never liked the Roswell That Ends Well episode of Futurama. The whole 'Fry is now his own biological grandfather' thing really bothered and confused me.

I was fine with the time travel but not with f***ing of the moon's orbit. lol I saw that same shit with my wife I'll go with the Hallmark Movies too: So the humble hardworking dude in a small town falls in love with this chick that visits for like a month who is writing a story for a magazine. But that chick sees the guy talking to an ex girlfriend like once in public at the start of the third act, so she immediately books a flight home and never wants to see him again. Because a casual meeting with an Ex Girlfriend out in front of a coffee shop in a Hallmark Movie is on exactly the same level as going balls deep in pound town. Listen up chicky-poo: I live in a small town. You can't just exist in a small town without ever talking or seeing an Ex-anything that also lives in said small town. If you deem that "relationship ending worthy" than you have absolutely no clue how reality works. Shit that even happens in bigger cities. ... after typing this I realised I could have also used "chick works for a magazine who gets a month long vacation in a small town to write a single story" as a "shit don't work like that" thing as well.

Every single time Joker gets off on an insanity defense I think the Animated Series handled Joker really well: Once he crossed the line with what he did to Tim, he had to go. You just can't have him go back to silly stuff like the Joker Fish, he gotta die.

Every single time Joker gets off on an insanity defense You'd think after he killed Gordon's wife, someone would've decided enough is enough. It's clear that Arkham won't rehabilitate him (nor has it ever or will ever rehab anyone) and that he'll keep on doing it.

Any situation where if a person is bailed out of jail, they act as though he's now innocent and the charges has been dropped.

Fairy Tail, basically committing full blown treason against their own Kingdom by planting a spy on their governing body, and no one in or out of universe seeming to have a problem with it.

If Bullock was in a more darker version of Batman then TAS, he'd definitely shoot the Joker if he had the chance.

Also, any portrayal of a gun that shows the cartridge flying out of the barrel as part of the bullet. (Looking at you, Deadpool vs Deathstroke on Death Battle!)

My dad was a huge stickler for things like that in fiction. Like, he legit hated how both no one ever reloads in the Heroic Bloodshed movies, or the guns holding more bullets then they should.

The “getting married to a US citizen automatically grants you immediate citizenship, even if you are residing in the country illegally” thing.

Obviously it varies by city and/or state, but whenever I see a show or movie where something like drunk guy walking around at 2am or really sad guy just out walking late night, and they enter a church and just vent themselves to no one or 'breakdown and pray to God'. All I can think of while happening is in all the states I've lived, never seen a church open that late. Maybe some are, just no where I've lived.

It's always greatly disturbed me that Matt and Trey took the time to rent a rink, get a guy dressed up in goalie gear, put a net out and have a severed head come by....and did it at centre ice. Was the extra 100 feet to the crease really that much of a bother?
Actually, all hockey in TV and movies bugs me.

Movies where the "controversial" new teacher gains the respect of his/her inner city class that would otherwise not care about passing the class/graduating.
Not only do these kids always go to class, but they also pay attention. It would be a miracle to get 50% of my former classmates to show up, let alone not be distracted with cross talking, texting, drawing, sleeping or doing something else.

Any time characters hold it against someone when they did something under mind control, and the character with the grudge explicitly knows mind control happened, and we're supposed to take that seriously.
Sisko is a good character. His grudge against Picard is stupid. Picard is not responsible for the actions of Locutus of Borg. That's more or less an example of this done right, I guess, in that Sisko at least seems aware his grudge is irrational, he's just having difficulty digesting it. Unfortunately, way too many things get this wrong.
I've seen someone try to compare this to drunk driving before, but no, it's much more comparable to being drugged against your will. People rarely willingly submit to mind control, what with the whole "it's mind control" thing and all.

I just started watching "How to get away with murder" and in the first episode the lawyer lady openly admits to destroying evidence and doesn't even try to hide her blatantly illegal acts. How the hell has she not been disbarred?
