Where it seems like everyone who speaks English prefers the English dubbed names?
I never hear people talk about Satoshi and Takeshi and whatever they call everyone else on that show.
It’s all about Ash, Brock, James, Jessie and James. I didn’t even think about the Pokémon themselves having different names.

Most Yugioh fans stick with the dub names, you don't see anybody calling Jaden Judai or Tea Anzu

I mean, most are not that much different than the Japanese names, but a lot of Dragon Ball fans I've been with go with dub names (Mostly they don't wanna use the full Tenshinhan and just use Tein). Especially true calling them Androids instead of Artificial Humans. Exception most times being Mr. Satan instead of Hercule, and even then the recent dub of Super went back to the old name.
Also, not as much nowadays, but there were some I knew back in the day that would swear up and down with the DiC/Cloverway dub names for Sailor Moon characters.

Most of us grew up with the Pokemon dub when the franchise was in the middle of being a cultural phenomenon. So the dub was overwhelmingly in the mainstream while only the most dedicated of fans watched the original Japanese version. Though in fairness, Serena's name is the same in both JP and EN. YuGiOh was the same way to a lesser degree.
Also, not as much nowadays, but there were some I knew back in the day that would swear up and down with the DiC/Cloverway dub names for Sailor Moon characters. What helped with that was Viz's far more faithful dub becoming the dominant one in the fandom. And then they also handled Crystal, too. The Japanese original also had a lot larger presence in the fandom because of how bad the DiC dub was.

I wouldn't say it's the only one, offhand I think to an extent it still happens with Case Closed / Detective Conan in regards to the general consciousness of the show, but it isn't really the norm.
For a non-anime example (well, there is an anime and it also applies I guess) Ace Attorney has the same thing going on.

It sort of depends. I know it's not a change of name, rather the spelling, but even hardcore Dragon Ball franchise fans tend to use "Krillen" and other dub names rather than Kuririn, etc.

I am surprised by the amount of dbz use saiyan instead of Saiya Jin, but will say Son Goku
