Right now it seems like there is 8 possibilities for the end of Roman Reign's near two year Reign of Terror:
Brock Lesnar: His next challenger at Summerslam, Brock Lesnar has been one of the people most known for winning in matches against people who he probably didn't need the win over, and scoring wins that other people could have used far more. Will Roman's title reign end as another conquest for the Beast Incarnate?
Theory: WWE's newest pet project and Mr. Money in the Bank, Theory seems to be a future star in the making. It isn't out of character for WWE to ensure that a champion is highly protected at the end of a long title reign as we've seen with Lesnar, and a post match cash in would more than fit the bill. As rapidly as he's been pushed since November, would WWE be willing to have him cash in and beat Roman Reigns for the title?
Drew McIntyre: Roman's likely Clash at the Castle opponent, the showdown between Reigns and McIntyre is one of the longest built matches in WWE since Roman became the champion. The match has been teased since late last year, and at WWE's first major event in the United Kingdom in nearly 20 years, which McIntyre has been heavily pushing for, will WWE mark the occasion with a historic title win?
Bobby Lashley: Perhaps the only notable name on WWE's roster largely untouched by Roman's Reign of Terror (Barring Roman's random appearance on RAW the week after Big E won the WWE Championship), Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns have largely kept apart since their brief rivalry in 2018. Since then Lashley has been pushed as by and large among the most dominant forces in WWE, being one of the few current stars to be given wins over part time talent. Could WWE pull the trigger on making Lashley THE most dominant force in WWE?
Seth Rollins: The only person in WWE since Roman's return in 2020 to win a match against Roman Reigns, albeit by DQ. There's obviously still some juice in this feud especially given their long term history. Given that Seth Rollins has long been the bane of Roman's existence, both ruining his presumed coronation at Wresltemania 31, and ending his title reign after his second presumed coronation the following year, is it possible that WWE will continue this trend?
The Rock: One of the all time greats in WWE history, and Roman's cousin. It's no secret that this is a match that WWE has been trying to book for years, and is undoubtedly the biggest match to be made for Roman at this point. With WWE's penchant for celebrating the stars of the past over building the stars of today, is it possible that WWE would have the Rock end what has been the most dominant title reign in recent history, instead of a current star who can use it?
Cody Rhodes: Arguably WWE's biggest signing since AJ Styles in 2016, Cody Rhodes is one of the most over stars on the roster, which has no doubt been aided by his tour de force performance inside Hell in a Cell against Seth Rollins, and no doubt a battle between the heirs of two of wrestling's most prestigious families would be a worthy main event to any show. Will WWE go All In (pun intended) on making Cody the man in WWE?
Vacant: Given WWE's large scale investment in promoting Roman Reigns as the greatest and most dominant champion in WWE history, could WWE possibly be willing to go as far as having Roman retire on top of the heap as champion?
Brock Lesnar: His next challenger at Summerslam, Brock Lesnar has been one of the people most known for winning in matches against people who he probably didn't need the win over, and scoring wins that other people could have used far more.
