It's like standing in the woods, hearing trees collapsing in the distance. You think you should back off, but then you notice that you're a tree yourself.

To be honest, I thought he passed away years ago.
Loved watching him in "Law & Order".
He was a blast in the cult classic "The Stuff".
But his coolest moment was as mobster Eddie Valentine in "The Rocketeer", when he and his crew join with the FBI to fight the German spies.
Rest in peace, sir.

He and the FBI guy shoot at the Nazis, stop and look at each other and just start shooting again

He's a guy whose always been on my mind as he's one of my all time favorite actors. If I see a DVD with him pictured, I have to get it. I first saw him in Dick Tracy as a 6 year old and thought he was so awesome. He was a taller version of my grandfather who was a bulky, darker skinned Italian man so I immediately loved him. Lips Manlis was the main character to me.
I know Jerry Orbach was a legend but I think once Paul left Law & Order it just wasn't as gritty and good as it once was. It became more of the Jerry show for the first half and the jokes about murders were a little much for, it wasn't as serious a drama like it had been the first two years and a few episodes into season three. Just my opinion. An actor like Paul was made for the first few seasons, the way episodes were originally written.
I also think the one episode of the Perry Mason movies he was in, is one of the best simply for his appearance. Not sure why he only did one episode but it reminds me of his leaving Law & Order so soon. But he never overstayed his welcome or became stale.
