Does the Peacock version of the Oct. 30, 2003 episode of Smackdown still have the Halloween costume segment with Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie? It has been cut out on the regular WWE Network.
Oddly, the Network only doesn't show the segment itself. All the references to it elsewhere in the episode haven't been cut.

The segment is on the Peacock version of the 10/30/03 Smackdown.

I've just checked the Network and it's still there. The tabs are all f***ed up for changing section but it's still there.

It may still be listed in the "Jump to" section, but the video itself doesn't have the segment. The Network version of the episode runs 73 minutes while the Peacock version is 84 minutes.

It gets even stranger as the thumbnails on the timeline still show it too.

If you browse the 2003 Smackdown page, what does the running time on the thumbnail for the episode say? I'm seeing 1:13:46, not 1:24:01.

I've just checked and it is still on the app version of the Network, but not the website version. The runtime says 1:13 for both, but the app version actually goes the full 1:24

Thank you. I saw this thread and checked the episode on the website version and was then confused as to why there’d be such a difference. That’s an odd glitch I suppose you’d call it.

Dare I ask what the issue was? It seems like a bug with the website version of the network.

Dare I ask what the issue was? It seems like a bug with the website version of the network. I think it's miscommunication over editing content for Peacock. They clearly intended to cut the segment but mistakenly sent Peacock the episode with the segment included. Another example of this is Jan. 5, 1998 Raw. It had a Flash Funk vs. Goldust match with Goldust in blackface. They were supposed to get rid of it for Peacock in spring 2021. Instead, Peacock has the original version of the episode with the match included while WWE Network has the updated version with the match removed.

But my understanding was peacock would be making edits to the shows as they saw fit and WWE would be informed of any edits. So if peacock wanted to edit it they could’ve done so. Why they haven’t I don’t know.

And I understand the other edits regarding black face but never understood the gold dust edit. His face paint was black and gold at that time wasn’t it ? It was gold at the very start but it was always some mix of black and gold and I don’t think any crow sting stuff has been edited off the network has it ?

I guess the idea was, what was offensive/not usable in the segment? Content? Music?

The Flash Funk match was completely different from those Goldust/Vader segments that got cut. Goldust was actually in blackface for the FF match, just like X-Pac in the DX parody of the Nation.
