Another Delaware person, I’m intrigued by this. There aren’t many Indy’s based here. These guys just run stuff in their mom's backyard. And it looks like they have some loose affiliation with IPW Philly. If you really want to know, I can send your their IG account in DM. I only know of these guys because well, it IS Delaware after all. gotcha, I’m guessing they are based south of Dover?

Nikolai Volkoff and Bobby Fulton face off in a wrestling match... with no ring. Honestly if there weren't video evidence, I would assume this was a fake story, because it seems such a stereotypically low rent indy wrestling debacle that there's no way it would be true. That both guys are trying to be professional and work around the lack of a ring almost makes things worse because it underscores just how amateur the actual fed was. I’m actually amazed this happened in 2013. Judging solely by the video, I would’ve guessed like 1998 or something.

Besides select people's behaviors towards others?
I was at the Balls Mahoney puking incident. (he was another groper at meet and greets, yeah I know, no "behavior w/fans" stories!)
Actually I can't resist another. Marty Jannetty copping a feel with a female fan.
(And wasn't the match Marty vs. Balls when the latter puked during the match?)
OK so wrestling content...
Tom Brandi appearing as The Patriot last year, and I think it was the same week Del Wilkes passed away.
A Golga clone teaming with Giant Silva and being called "the original Human Oddity." Years after John's passing. I loved NWS, but yeah, totally carny.
This guy Corey Havoc apparently pissed X-Pac off during their match, so Pac was going off after the match how he couldn't work, etc.

Didn’t a motherf***er try to murder a referee with a railroad spike last year? Anything ever come of that?

Context, please? Looks like Low Ki is throwing a tantrum and on his way to a time-out. Very likely, but could use confirmation.

Yeah, this one is embarrassing but not for Bobby or Nikolai. Embarrassing for the federation but the story goes they had rented a ring and it didn't show up for the event.

Was thinking about the ending of TERMINUS 2 where Jon Gresham pretended to fire the referee after the finish was a total disaster and it hit me that this would make a good thread because the indys are a place where dudes can literally be as cringe as they wanna be and nobody can stop them except for themselves. Here's my contribution that has been living rent free in my brain since 2015. (big fat language warning) I was at this show! Big Larry....whatever happened to him? I heard he was involved in an orphanage fire years later.....

PWX/NWA East Burgh Brawl 2008. I posted a version of this a few years ago, but it's worth revisiting.
Before I go into detail, I need to dive into the backstory. Things started to go downhill for the stalwart Pittsburgh indie PWX in July 2007, when their booker committed suicide. They were able to limp along until that November, mainly due to the strength of their massively over, two year-plus promotion-wide story. Once it ended, they were out of options. In an act of desperation, the owner talked Sterling James Keenan (Corey Graves) into jumping from cross-town rival IWC. (IWC and PWX exclusivity was a major thing at the time.) It was a big deal that he left. So big, he was treated like Hulk Hogan arriving in WCW. In his first match with the company, he beat three mainstays to get a shot at the NWA title.
He lost his match against Adam Pearce, but that didn't mean he didn't win any titles. By the time Burgh Brawl rolled around, he was PWX (then NWA East) Heavyweight Champion, FNW Heavyweight Champion (FNW was co-owned by his father), 1PW Heavyweight Champion, Zero1 United States Champion and the champion of some Ohio promotion no one had ever heard of. He had so many belts that he needed an entourage to help carry them. The show began with SJK, his real life brother Sam Adonis and top student Ashton Amherst coming out to deafening silence. The seventeen people (not an exaggeration) in that picnic pavilion (also not an exaggeration) could care less. It set the mood for the evening.
The first match was barely a blip on the radar. The second match fared a bit better, but was only due to Gregory Iron and a pre-everything Matthew Justice. The third match, a title match for the NWA North American Tag belts, tanked due to the fact the champs just didn't care. Hell, not caring and phoning it in was their gimmick at the time. (This is not a joke.) It just went on and on like this, match after match. There was a mid-card title change... nothing. Inexplicable fan favorite/walking sleeping pill/promoter's son Jim Ross gets his ass handed to him by the heels. Nothing. Supposed company savior SJK goes over the last two champions, one of which had held the title for a record 470 days, as clean as a sheet. Less than nothing. The only person other than Iron that was able to get anything resembling heat was the ring announcer, but that was only because he kept calling a well-known, "never misses a show" fan Super Mario.
The main event was Burgh Brawl, a Royal Rumble rip off match they had been doing for years. It was the worst Rumble-esque match I had ever seen; filled to the brim with people no one had ever heard of. A half a ton of humanity filled the ring, 750 pounds of it coming from two guys: Kid Cupid (450) and The Bulldozer (300). The ring almost immediately started to break, forcing the head ref had to go underneath to fix it... while the two super heavyweights were still inside. The match ended when future PWX champion/ROH seat filler Chris LeRusso eliminated Ohio-based journeyman Patrick Hayes. All seventeen of us turned to the entrance as SJK's music played. We waited for SJK to confront the new number one contender. And waited. And waited. He never showed up. Turned out that Sterling had left an hour ago. The show ended with LeRusso looking as disappointed and confused as we all were.

He botched a few times, they told him to take the match home, he wanted to get his shit in, and threw a tantrum that required security to carry him out

I read something on this forum that Rikishi was booked for a match. During the event he was selling merchandise to make some money of his own. When match time came, he refused to get to the ring. It's not like they can even cover it up by saying he was beatdown and couldn't make it, he WAS RIGHT THERE AS ADVERTISED!!! It's very possible the promoter didn't have the funds to pay him(and Kish only knew about it AFTER he showed up), so he wasn't going to do a match unless there was a guaranteed pay. Still, it's an awkward situation for both parties.

His opponent got injured and Low Ki was told to pin the guy to end it. Low Ki being Low Ki wanted to get his spots in and thought he was being sabotaged, so he got angry, and they sent out guys to carry him off because he wouldn't listen. I get that he's a strange guy, but it's still weird considering, if a competing indy was trying to make him look bad, why would they have their guy throw the match and take LESS offense to be pinned? It'd make their guy look worse, not Low Ki.

My local indy got a financial backer named Matt. He wanted to invest money and do a big supershow uniting all the indys in New Zealand. He eventually drained them of all their funds and Matt started his own promotion and proper signed on guys to contracts so they couldn't work for anyone but him. He ended uo merging with the original company because they couldn't afford to keep going.
Here's where it started to go wrong for Matt. He tried to get Will Osperay involved as he was doing some shows in NZ and Australia at the time. Meanwhile Will had made contacts and friends with some NZ wrestlers who wrestled for Matt. After one of the shows Matt couldn't afford to pay out his wrestlers despite having contracts with them. Word got back to Will and he exposed it all on Twitter and it blew up over the NZ wrestling scene.
Next thing Matt posts a video on the company page where he possibly blitzed out of his mind on something, publicly fired the wrestler who told Will and then threatened harm against Will. This included him threatening to shove his foot up his ass while holding his fist up.
Most of the backstage stuff carried on over to some of the big NZ wrestling facebook groups where everyone involved with both companies and the training school began airing it all out for everyone to see. Turns out Matt had alienated most of the good wrestlers in the country, doxxed an ex wrestler who he had falling out with, used photos from a photographer without her permission and generally acted like an ass. Eventually Matt ended up selling the company back to some of the previous owners.
He then went on facebook and ripped them apart for their show production before deleting his facebook page. After attending one of their shows where two the wrestlers crowd brawled and seemingly on purpose knocked into him and his young daughter he disapeared from the scene for good.

Low Ki being picked up like a child throwing a tantrum and being carried backstage after a match. Only ever returned to CZW once more time twelve years later. edit: I see it's already been posted. Still genuinely one of the funniest things in wrestling history, here's this guy that thinks he's a legit badass and he destroys a potential run when a match had to be cut short due to Ric Blade getting injured and he thought that CZW were f***ing him over for being a JAPW guy.

My favorite is the survivor series rundown for the bad guys vs teamsters match when they use razor's mang to describe everyone. Jeff jarrett is the music mang, anvil is klan mang etc
