The NWO beating up Rock and throwing him in the back of an ambulance and then hitting the ambulance with an 18 Wheeler was a little, WTF? How long was Rock out after that? How did they explain him returning without a scratch on him? They had to take out The Rock NWO style 4 life.

Undertaker murdered Muhammad Hassan but I don’t remember if that was during a match or after it. I think the powerbomb through the stage was the end of the match.

Hogan beats the Giant for the wcw title at WCW Hog Wild 96. Then there was a birthday celebration, a Brutus beefcake beat down and the spray painting of the wcw title... the whole time, the Giant is laying dead on the mat FOREVER.

Hogan chasing away Andre and Heenan and doing his normal 10 minute pose down…after losing the main event of the first Survivor Series. Also Hogan doing his full 10 minute pose down after he and Andre were both eliminated from the Wrestlemania IV tournament. The biggest star in wrestling history, the reason people bought tickets to the show and ordered the PPV, posing is.... excessive? Man... that's a weird take.

How did they explain him returning without a scratch on him? Not only that, but the whole reason Rock was in an ambulance to start with is because Hogan hit Rock in the back of his head with a f***ing hammer. That alone should have been enough to ensure Rock wasn't wrestling any time soon, much less at Mania the next month.

Most excessive? Even as a kid I thought it was beyond crazy the reception Lex got for winning by countout. Yeah, what made Luger look (even more) like a dumbass for celebrating was he signed it to be his only title shot. A less famous example of dancing around and celebrating over a countout win was when "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan went over Rick Rude on a Saturday Night's Main Event, which took place on Memorial Day Weekend. Problem was, it was for the IC championship, and as we know, the belt can't change hands on a countout or DQ. I guess it makes sense since his character was a few tacos short of a grande meal. Ultimate Warrior did the same thing after his "match" was Goldust at IYH:Beware of Dog.

Cena pretending to kick dirt over The Miz during their first PPV match still irks me.

WWF gave the fans what they wanted. Sent the fans home happy. A simple concept.

Its one thing to do it for the live crowd after the fact but to put it on the PPV? My guess is that PPVs were so rare in those days that they didn't want to end it on a downer. Hogan lost, but he's ok and he will have his revenge one day. Here's him posing. Happy Thanksgiving. Reminds me of how Wrestlemania 2000 ended with Triple H winning the belt after a Vince heel turn, but the actual show wrapped with the Rock getting payback on them by beating up Vince and Shane.

It’s excessive from a kayfabe character standpoint. Tom Brady doesn’t have a full podium celebration when he loses the Super Bowl.

When Big Show picked up the gurney Rey Mysterio was strapped to and swung it like a baseball bat into the ringpost any big guy beating of rey mysterio doesn't go on LONG ENOUGH!!! definitely the WCW NWO beatdown travelogue of ric flair ... just honestly went on a segment too long for my liking not because it was boring, flair was already dead already ...

When Triple H turned on Flair putting the final nail in the coffin of Evolution. I believe it was the Raw Homecoming episode. I haven't seen it since it aired but I believe it lasted the length of 2 or 3 segments. Like a match happened and ended and they went backstage and Triple H was still beating up a bloodied Flair. It lasted long enough to the point where I finally screamed out loud something like, Jesus Christ that's enough! The most asinine part was that none of the wrestlers attempted to stop it. HHH beat Flair for an uncomfortable amount of time while they sat around eating cheetos

Yet he gets his ass kicked for 30 or 45 minutes straight and nobody lifts a finger to help.
