Didn’t psychosis also steal a car? I remember reading at the time that there was a baby in a car seat in the car Psychosis stole. Was that just a case of a game of Telephone with this story?

The story as I remember it is that a pregnant woman was involved in the crash when he crashed the car, but that very luckily for all involved she and the unborn child were fine. If there'd been a baby in the car when he jacked it, he'd have probably done some jailtime.

It's been 15 years, some of the details are fuzzy lol Whatever it was it must not have been good because as someone else mentioned I haven't heard of anybody booking Psychosis in the 15 years since. Even lowlife's like Rob Black won't use him.

Juventud's popularity from WCW in 1998 was long gone by this point.
I think the idea of bringing them in as a Mexican pride type gimmick, similar to LWO or LAX, might've worked.

Note the word "cruiserweight" even without the racism there's your issue. Yeah, for that reason alone, none of these three was going to do better than they did. I agree they were brought in with a stupid gimmick but their lack of success was way more on them than the company. This is around the same time that Eddy and Rey were being pushed real hard.

I remember at the time thinking that the landscaping gimmick was stupid and racist and I honestly thought it was leading to some sort of LWO thing but boy was I wrong.

What’s crazy is that they came around like right in the middle of Carlos Mencia’s heyday.
Even Lance Hoyt was quoting Mencia bits on TNA

Even Lance Hoyt was quoting Mencia bits on TNA Then coming in with a Carlos Mencia gimmick would have aged worse than the racist landscaping gimmick. 😂 Mencia was a hack who got really lucky. He makes Denis Leary look original in comparison.

I don't disagree with the Juvi takes, but it's just kinda sad when you hear people like Rey Mysterio talk about how Juvi was every bit as good as he was, but made like a fraction of the money Rey did

Like, he isn't in poverty or anything, either, and seems to have basically never stopped working, though he has had a lot of arguments professionally with his father regarding the Guerrera legacy. I was somewhat confused with him wearing a mask for his AEW appearance, but then I remembered that one of his conflicts with his father was over being unmasked. Maybe Juvi was/is trying to mend things with him, just since I have no idea why else he'd have bothered, given it isn't like he's as well known for his masked years in the US.
