I don’t think WWE owns the footage, but I’ll avoid embedding it just to be safe. Anyway, I just came across this on Facebook: youtu.be/44hRNmTCYukI’ve just skipped around it, but it looks like at least a good chunk of an event called Legends II by EPW. As far as I can tell the event took place in 1995 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. HHH faces Scott Taylor at about 42 minutes in. At least a few more names pop up in the video like Brian Knobbs, Greg Valentine, and George Steele.

Correction then. Like I said I just skipped around the show. Arguably even more surprising since At least one or two of those other guys were signed to WCW then or at least had working agreements with them (Brian Knobbs and Greg Valentine). It being WCW though I’m pretty sure they were just straight up signed.

They called him Triple H as early as 97? Perfect on commentary was calling him that since 95 it took awhile to catch on.

They called him Triple H as early as 97? Commentary on this show was apparently recorded well after it happened. The commentator even mentions "WWE" at one point.

The description on the video mentioned Triple H's trainer, Killer Kowalski, was part of the show. Might have been HHH was able to take part as a favour to him?

Ode to Joy/DX era Triple H is so odd. It eventually worked but the transition was very weird on TV.

They called him Triple H as early as 97? Tell 'em Tri! There's a lot of Tri-things he is and "lingual" is not one of them!
