Imagine not being able to do your job because Chris Sutton, Robbie Savage & Michael Owen need a studio to work in. That would knock my morale for sure. Don't forget Rio Ferdinand

The existence of NXT UK in the first place was always just very weird to me. Despite a few notable names coming out of it, it never really worked as either a feeder group for the main roster or developmental brand. It was just this random standing roster the WWE had for the UK for... nebulous reasons. The fact that it was just loaded with guys who the WWE would never have even looked at otherwise only made its existence even more awkward. I say take whoever's left there that they think has real potential, transfer them to the main NXT roster, and cut the rest loose. BritWres is supposedly hot right now, hopefully they'll be able to get by. Not sure if it was true or not but the main reason that this brand existed was because WWE were worried about ITV reviving World Of Sport. Anyone who saw that abomination that was World Of Sport will know that they panicked over nothing Oh boy, I was really open to the idea of a new World of Sport show. An immediate red flag was it being shot in one of ITV's studios. Then actually watching the product and it being a cringey rip off of some of the more cringey aspects of American pro wrestling. I mean, did they not think about trying to capture the atmosphere and style of what made WOS so big in the first place and building on that? I don't necessarily mean having rounds and building the promotion around a rotund guy who can't do much, but I was hoping for a somewhat back to basics, you know 'sporting' structure and feel that didn't look like a gameshow. So yeah, WWE had nothing to worry about in that regard. Though, ironically, NXT UK is much closer to what WOS should have been, and it has made little more than a dent in the UK scene.

I'm looking at the NXT UK roster listed on Wikipedia. Now I have not actually watched NXT UK in a long time, so I apologize if anybody has really stepped up over the last two-to-three years and I'm just not familiar with it, but here's who I'd keep and send to NXT or even the main roster if the brand is actually disbanded - Dragunov of course (God knows what kind of name and character Vince would've given him). Bate and Seven as a tag team (Bate has some potential in singles, but I really think both work better as a tag team). I'd also keep Dar and Mandrews too. While their ceiling is limited, I think both have shown they're good hands for the mid-card. On the female side, I'd love to see Jinny do her act on the main roster, and of course Meiko would be perfect as a player-coach for the ladies on regular NXT. But otherwise, yikes, there's not much to work with. How has Xia Brookside looked lately? I remember her being serviceable but really young and green. Has she shown much improvement since the early NXT UK days? Be a shame to lose a second generation talent. Noam Dar randomly getting new merch makes me think he's headed to NXT or Main roster sooner rather than later. He had a bit of buzz on the indies before signing and had some decent matches on 205 live as well as the funny Alicia... FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOX stuff... but was never going to be even a midcard wrestler under Vince.

I feel like this has been a long time coming... the bright side is if they save a lot of the talents, they could really fill out NXT 2.0 and make it feel like old times again, promising homegrowns mixed with workhorses. Meiko Satomura could instantly become a credible threat to Mandy.

Would be ironic if lasting up to now through the pandemic, avoiding all the layoffs and surviving Vince and Nick Khans budget cuts that with Triple H in control NOW could be where it ends.

By golly Meiko could, would and should absolutely destroy her if they ever met, mandy is decent but not in the same stratosphere as meiko! NXT UK is still a good idea I think but is it worth continuing on the financial side of things?

We're nearing four years since it debuted, aren't we? Assuming it's being wound up, I would imagine that the TV contract is up and they've decided it doesn't make financial sense to carry on with it now that it's done its, uh, "job".

Feel sorry for the talent if it gets wound up. Losing out on a regular weekly wage, training access, TV experience and stability at this point in the UK, with another financial crisis coming down the pipes and the likelihood of many other indie companies going under as selling tickets becomes near impossible is far from ideal.

I just need Dragunov on the main roster when he comes back. 100% want this as well. And we wouldn't have to worry about jingoist bullshit from Vince ruining him. I also want Meiko to have a nice "thank you" run on the main roster. Steer her clear of 2.0 as I feel that would be a waste of her talent, and there are SO MANY women on the main shows proper I'd love to see her wrestle.

Priestly and Gallus just showed up in NXT, methinks that NXT UK is as good as dead.

And now Tyler Bate shows up holding a belt he hasn’t officially won yet.
I think we’re packing up and going home, folks.

This show is toast. I feel for the people here who've been watching and enjoying it.

Yeah, it's dead. They spoiled the results of the tournament and bought over a bunch of people. I think the only person not accounted for is Meiko and that's probably just a visa thing.

Not for nothing but if they were bringing people over and the place they do their normal tapings isn't available they could always do tapings at the Performance Center with U.S. vs. U.K. matches to pad out this feud for a bit until they get sent back and the other arena is available again. It's not completely a "the sky is falling" scenario.

NXT UK was safest under Vince, because Vince had no idea it existed.
