A new episode of "The Best of WWE" centered around matches from the United Kingdom was released today and contains a 1989 bout between Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage from WWE's first ever show in England. The match was only ever released on one 1990 Coliseum Video tape and was never on WWE Network until now.

I remember taping that show off TV show when I was really young. Unfortunately I accidentally taped over it not long after. If memory serves there was a match between The Rockers and The Rougeaus on the card.

I haven’t seen the Paris one (or if I have, I’ve forgotten it) but there’s a ton of stalling in the London match. Elizabeth is ringside with Hogan and Sherri with Savage and there’s one point where Macho gets on the mic and says something about “the most beautiful woman in the world” leaving a pause for the crowd to shout for Liz (and Hogan to point at Liz) before Savage says “Sensational Sherri!”. |
