It’s been established for years Dana only has a financial eye for his preferred chosen ones. That’s one thing if you’re a wrestling booker. It’s totally different if you’re the head of a shoot promotion. If he thinks he can make cash with you (Conor, Jon, Greg Hardy) he’ll overlook all the stupid shit you get caught up in. Otherwise, enjoy the table scraps. It’s even more the case now that Dana’s boss (Ari Emmanuel) is publicly traded, so it’s even MORE about the money now.

The idea that Dana White could horribly f*** up a GQ puff piece is the bigger story here. Like no don't get hot at the journalist who wrote about your words, get mad at yourself for being tossed a softball and thinking this was about doing trick beer pong shots with your ass. How do you mess up a puff piece for yourself like that?

How do you mess up a puff piece for yourself like that? Yeah, like you wasn't going to get hard hitting questions. That was a pretty tame question when in reality you could side stepped the question like we have the best fighters in the world and I look forward to bringing you the best entertainment possible But you had to make it about yourself and how things will never change under you

Dana White is a narcissistic dumbass, film at 11.
Until he’s out UFC is going to face all sorts of issues no matter how much money they make.

For all the acceptance MMA (especially UFC) has gotten in the mainstream, Dana White's as big a carny as any two-bit wrestling promoter. He’s as much an overall detriment now as he was a boon to the sport during its rise.

I'm so sick of him going after journalists. He's helped create an ecosystem that systematically pushes out people trying to cover the sport with an actual critical lens.

And he’ll turn even the smallest things into a rant against journalists. He could be on a podcast talking about the new whey protein he’s been using and he’ll go off about “scumbag” journalists.

A 20% share of the revenue is absolutely not "what they're supposed to be getting paid", and wouldn't fly in any other major sports league. Not even close. He also f***ed them over by making Reebok the UFC's only gear sponsor, which cost many of those fighters hundreds of thousands of dollars. Add to that his terminal lack of professionalism, and I'm astonished that Dana hasn't been forced out or completely imploded the UFC at this point. Did the sponsorships come close to making up the difference? I don't remember the numbers. I just don't get why they can't allow that while having sponsored "uniforms". Based on the shorts I saw in the main event this past weekend, there is room for them.

From what I’ve seen, it’s because everyone is stealing PPV!!! And he’s personally coming to find you! I will not condone privacy here, but when cards are running 60$ a minimum at a rate of 12 ppv's per year (MINIMUM)... why in the hell would anyone want to pay full price for it all, especially when the actual fighters are getting paid a pittance.

Based on the shorts I saw in the main event this past weekend, there is room for them. Not at all for most fighters. They lost the ability to secure their own money by featuring sponsors on their gear, and instead got a flat sponsorship fee from Reebok based upon how many appearances they had and if they were challenging for a title. Some mid-carders said it was close to a 90% hit on their sponsorship money.

Huge amounts of revenue all flowing to the top while the people on the bottom doing the actual work are easily replaceable cogs making a pittance.
