And I realized they’re basically the modern day equivalent of radio back in the day before television “killed it”.
I was watching I love Lucy and always found it Interesting that there were episodes where they were listening to game shows, talk shows, stories.
I remember looking up history for old IP that were made into movies and surprised that they had their origins in radio as serial audio programs.
Not mention, I was watching some old tv shows where they were either making fun or overhyping “books on tape” and then realized that they were the precursor to todays Wildly popular audiobooks.
It’s amazing how technology can not only seemingly kill and industry but then bring it back in a different way.
Anyone else have a similar feeling about other forms of media?
Also, the popularity of Ted talks, watching them reminds me of a church service. Or listening to the old philosophers of ancient times.
