And Bam Bam was a bodyguard for Springsteen once upon a time.

Poor Kanyon being replaced by the boss & he didn’t even get to meet him. I do like the idea of DDP & Bigelow constantly replacing Kanyon with whatever famous person from New Jersey they come across imagine Queen Latifah, Paul Rudd or John Bon Jovi as Triad members.

They could have just done cast members from The Sopranos and it would have been awesome. Imagine Paulie Walnuts punking out Disco Inferno.
I’m all seriousness, I thought the Triad was cool, helped keep Bam Bam established as a threat, and helped establish Kenyon as the real deal.

I know "Freebird Rule" tag teams have been overused at times, and even at the time, this wasn't that exceptional in that respect, but this was thankfully a trio that brought out some good in each other and were fun to watch.

One thing that I liked about it was a random match on Thunder. It was the Triad against the West Texas Rednecks. The Triad were doing their "during match" Freebird stuff...so to counter it, the Rednecks did the same thing!

He's only an honorary Jerseyan due to his captaincy of the Devils during their three Stanley Cup runs, but there's a picture out there of Scott Stevens and Bill Goldberg posing with the Cup likely after the Devils won it in 2000, and damned if Scotty didn't look like he could've slipped right into WCW and shoulder rushed a bunch of jobbers into oblivion.

As a side note, it was weird that DDP was billed as being from “The Jersey Shore”. Firstly, shore communities are fiercely loyal. Not only would someone from Ocean City likely balk at being lumped in with Wildwood, but there’s a giant divide between the northern and southern shores, due to their NYC and Philadelphia associations. Second, Point Pleasant is a cool sounding name on its own.
