Kenny was good, but as someone from the UK (and from this thread alone I can see not everyone is going to agree with me) it's so great to hear British wrestlers with British accents instead of the weird Transatlantic accent so many of them have put on through the years. Okay, so Ospreay says 'Bruv' a lot, mate, he's from Essex, that's just how they talk and the fact he's not watering that down for an American audience is to me, so refreshing.

Ospreay sounds as thick as shit. Which he apparently is, so I suppose fair play to him.

How Ospreay can tell such a great story in the ring but be unable to communicate like a normal human being outside of it it is honestly something an anthropologist should be studying.
Anyway, is the long game Omega/Ospreay at the Dome? Omega pins Ospreay next week, and challenges him for the IWGP US title in January

That's our boy Ospreay. In ring? I can't deny his talent. Outside of it, both on the mic and in his real life (apparently), he's a complete and utter dipshit.

They both come off like gigantic marks in their interactions with each other.
The matches will be amazing but, I’m not looking forward to them arguing about who can fill whose boots all the time.

Becky Lynch and AJ Styles are the standard for using your strong regional accent with enough clarity to give what you are saying extra emphasis and be understandable. Matt Hardy and The British Bulldog of course at the opposite end of the scale.
From the little I've seen Ospray is in the middle with a bit of potential he badly needs to think before he speaks or rehearse it backstage he sounds like he's winging it.

Even AJ wasn’t always great at it. During his TNA days, he had a really bad habit of pronouncing “G” like it was a “K.” Which gave us a hilarious promo he cut on Sting where it sounded like he said “Yeah, I was wronk. I was wronk. I was wronk about you, Stink.”

I'm actually very impressed with Matt Hardy and his ability to work around the limitations his regional accent gives him. He's not the most fluid speaker, but also no one else can really cut a promo like him because of it. Like, he had a couple of absolute fire promos on BTE, and they weren't smooth, but they were damned good b/c of how he delivers them.

It wasn't so much Will's accent that made him unintelligible. It was that he wasn't enunciating and it made him sound like he had a giant wad of toilet paper in his mouth.
And he doesn't _usually_ sound that muffled/garbled when he speaks.

I've said before that Cena and Dwayne's promos don't work for me b/c they sound rehearsed, or like a character talking, not a real person. Whereas Matt and Kenny have this innate quality to make their promos sound like they're actually talking to you, and I like that.

I don't know which is worse.... Ospreay's "Bruv" or Russo's "Bro".

The state of The Elite for the Trios final are gonna be... interesting after this.
They did this for a second week in a row, this time Aussie Open and Ospreay laid them all out mid promo
They're definitely building this to a full blown feud, still predicting Omega vs Ospreay at WrestleKingdom...

I can't believe this is a free TV match and not the actual PPV match at All Out This is gonna be insane, and I absolutely guarantee if AEW wrestlers are gonna wrestle at WrestleKingdom, this is planting seeds for Omega/Ospreay at the Dome. I was baffled as to why the Elite and United Empire weren't on different sides of the bracket. I know they want to have Hangman opposite the rest of the Elite in the finals, but they pretty much telegraph who's going over.

They're really building Empire up as a threat. Might be their solution to Undisputed Elite all needing extended breaks. And admittedly, if your band aid to a problem is Will Ospreay, you're in a good position lol

As long as all of this happens on Newj TV so I don't have to watch it. The sooner he's back there, the better.

Very much disagree, I know he's an irl knobhead but the dude is truly one of the best wrestlers out there today, and AEW's now gotten him for four free matches, it pays to have a good working relationship with other promotions.
