There's the adage about journeymen making for better teachers than superstars. But unless Santana had an unusually good mind for the business she never displayed before in public, it's a weird hire.

I am at work. When I came to this thread, the twitter message says "contains sensitive material" but when I click on it, it was Santana smiling. She's not fully dressed: no headband. And, yes that makes her look completely different and is her only defining quality to me. She's simply Allie's sister without her trademark apparel. |

Never saw much of her as a talent. Fundamentally sound but nothing special and she was also the worst corpser I have ever seen. Constantly smiling and laughing in matches even when she was supposed to be on the sell which is super unprofessional. I'm guessing that was probably the reason why she never rose above enhancement status in the big leagues as she looks like a million bucks and is athletic enough.
Don't have a problem with her coming back as a coach. As mentioned most of the best coaches in sports weren't great players. Just because she wasn't a great wrestler doesn't mean she can't be a good teacher as they are two different things. Also as mentioned she was fine enough mechanically where she won't have trouble teaching the basics and maybe she was an easy person to work with as a wrestler meaning she will more patience which is another good quality for a teacher.

Sara is the Assistant Head Coach, has worked as a PC coach for 10 years, is one of the most respected in the PC and she’s friends with Santana. So she doesn’t decide who ultimately gets hired but if you don’t think Sara has heavy influence over who joins the team she helps oversee, you’re seriously kidding yourself. |

During her "away" time, I actually met her at an indy show. She was okay...guess I should be glad I didn't ask her about any FAN-banned topics? (she faced Kiera Hogan that night) Then again, she wasn't like the Hulk Hogan Beach Shop Ron Howard and started rambling out of nowhere. So..good?
