Best advice I can give is to just slowly grow into the house, you don't need to fill it up with crap right away. Let the empty parts stay empty until you have something you want or need to do. I've been in my first home for about 5 years and I only just started making use of the last room when COVID started and I needed a home office (I'd previously been storing a used bed and a cat tree in it). My basement was almost completely empty for the first year or so too. You, sir, are a gentleman, a scolar and a damn handsome man to boot. That said, listen to this man. If you're staying for the long-haul, you'll figure it out. (I decided I'll have a den in a "four bedroom" house. 4th room is smaller than my bathroom. Once my son was born, bye-bye den.)
