It makes a lot of sense tbh. Will was the main person championing for The Acclaimed to get the title shot at All Out for a WHILE (so much so that he had to explain why he was speculating towards them over FTR). I'm sure that they planned for the Acclaimed to get to the next level with this feud, but they're probably surprised at how it broke the whole show for a little bit. Either way, they're going to be solidified as a main act at Grand Slam, and the heat for Swerve is gonna be huge (already was last night). I'd say this was a great way to build all 4 wrestlers.

Honestly the part I find most head-tilting about the whole thing is just how... Half-assed it coming together was? The Acclaimed essentially just got a title shot because a week before the PPV they were the highest ranked team that didn't have anything going on. If it works it works but if the overall plan's to build to Swerve and Lee splitting while the Acclaimed gets the belts it seems like the whole thing is being thrown together super last minute.

Rather S.I.O.G. stay together
And again, why is FTR not getting a title shot? They should be protesting the fact they've been ranked first for eight months now and never received a title shot.

I don't think Swerve and Keith were meant to be more than a quick pairing but the Hardy's deal extended it.

S.I.O.G vs The Acclaimed is currently sitting at #10 in AEW highest rated matches on Cagematch. Including being the only one without a member of The Elite. Huge props to them and I hope The Acclaimed get the nod at Grand Slam.

Bowens was able to show a side of his ability yet uncovered. He was tremendous. What stood out to me for Bowens was his incredible ability at the little touches. Swerve too, who I am way higher on than Lee. Bowens' selling and work on one leg was a lot better than most guys you'll see, reminded me of some of Omega's NJPW stuff at times, on the Blockbuster he buckled and slipped out the worked leg as if it gave way and still hit the move, that was crazy. I've become a bit fixated on details courtesy of Gentleman Villain but Bowens and Swerve are so, so good.

I've tried and I don't dislike him by any means but I just don't "get" Keith Lee. Swerve on the other hand is a major star in the making.

They're kinda preoccupied with having every other belt on the planet

Don’t dislike him but don’t like him, just very blah when I see him on my screen, not just AEW but NXT and WWE! Happy and want to be sold on him though, so if anyone can step and do it then please do.

Lee's good, but he might be one of those guys who are better in a tag team for me.

I'd definitely be done for a 2 out of 3 falls match with these two. Let them go 30 minutes.

Especially after he almost lost his life due to a heart disease and getting COVID, he's working at super half speed then his usual standard.

Everything is leaning towards a heel turn for Swerve with Lee remaining babyface but I'm hoping they swerve (for lack of a better term) everyone and turn both, keeping them as a team with Lee as Swerve's muscle.
