some matches that were rumored at one point for WM 21?

I know his Contract ended in late 04 but this was discussed at one point! Rock was either going to wrestle Rey, Sting or Savage at WM 21! I think the Rock vs Savage Match was just a wish of Rock but Savage wasn't going to WWE whatever, and also in 05 this match would have been a mess probably. Rock vs Sting was probably pretty unlikely anway because Sting wasn't going to WWE. But just imagine what a big Match that would have been for his legacy. Rock vs Mysterio was probably the most realistic chance of happening had Rock wrestled at mania.

Which of these 3 Matches would have been the best? What do you think?

I think Rock vs Mysterio but Rock vs Sting would have been the bigger Draw.

There were also a lot of rumors about Rock v JBL around late 2004. Either JBL's never-ending heel reign would continue even longer or Rock would get the rub of beating him then have to drop it immediately before going to shoot a movie so I'm glad that match didn't happen.

Savage appeared in TNA a few months before Wrestlemania 21 and looked really bad. Rock v Savage I don't think was ever very realistic and if it happened it would have been a poor man's version of Rock/Hogan 3 years earlier.

Rock/Sting is definitely the best option, especially if Rock went Hollywood heel again with it being Wrestlemania goes Hollywood.
