Remember ten years ago, Shane invaded Raw and when he was kicked out he reportedly yelled: “A REVOLUTION IS COMING.” He then made a YouTube video announcing the promotions first major event. Shane: “I’m in Philadelphia where extreme SHOULD SLWAYS reside. “Vince & Dixie…you have been served.”
The end result was a disaster and the company folded within two years. What do you think of it?
Also, I heard a rumor that ten years ago, he worked at Target. I now work at Target. I can only imagine him reacting when a customer gets on his case.

Well, for the flack he got for "Invading Raw," as a stunt it absolutely worked and tickets for the show completely sold out within the week. While it may seem silly now considering the parties involved and how overkilled and usually disastrous that sort of thing goes, the launch was hot.
I've never seen the first show (or any of them) but I recall the diversity of the roster being well received except for Raven's new flock which even Raven had to break character for and say he needed a new on at the conclusion of their segment. (that was this show, right?)

I'm just cautiously optimistic that we've kind of finally hit a point where people are willing to let ECW stay dead.
Heck, I'm not even sure I can name an ECW original that can still 'go' in the ring, which probably has the most to do with it.

ECW was of its time, it worked as a counterculture thing off the back of the nineties "alternative" pop culture, but even before the reunion PPVs in 2005 its time had passed and that no longer worked. Each time it got resurrected or people tried to recapture its glory, it got a little bit more embarrassing, because we were that bit further away from when that kind of thing was actually cool.

Extreme Rising and Hardcore Roadtrip imploded in the same week. I still make "Luke Hawx is cursed" jokes.

Also, I heard a rumor that ten years ago, he worked at Target. I now work at Target. I can only imagine him reacting when a customer gets on his case. He's a really nice guy in person so I feel he'd probably let the customers win unless they were way out of line. I don't think he lasted very long with them. He was ridiculed by message board posters but he explained it in a shoot, that Target had wanted to reach out to pro athletes to get them in positions of supervision or management and he took the job. Also a management position in a Target type store I think is pretty good, has potential growth, the benefits are good and of course his body isn't on the line like in a match. I think Shane does dislike certain people in wrestling but for the most part, in the 6 or so times I've met him, he's very nice and goes with the flow.

Jericho, Mysterio, and Rhino are the only ones I can think of. 2 Cold Scorpio, Little Guido, Super Crazy, Tajiri. And maybe not "go" like they used to, but... Rob Van Dam and Bully Ray, also still active. Blue Meanie. Yeah, the list is definitely getting smaller as the years go by. Masato Tanaka is another one. He teamed with RVD a few months ago and one of their opponents was Super Crazy. Noah is a weird place for ECW nostalgia but I stil enjoyed it. RVD looks amazing for 51 and is still fine for that sort of match.

In hindsight, Douglas' promo upon throwing down the NWA title is hilarious given that he'd later spend years and years dry humping the rotted corpse of ECW
