S.D. Jones was apparently still in the WWF by 1990. I was shocked when I read that on WWF.com many years ago. I think it was a "where are they now?" or something like that on him and it had a feature on him and noted he left in 1990. I was surprised to even see him on shows in early 1988 for the foreign market. One match I think he pinned Sika and came out to Piledriver. Jim Brunzell in 1993 WWF was an odd one for me. I wonder how he felt going from 1986 where he and Brian were always so close to the tag belts to 1993 where he was losing to everyone. He was let go from WWF in 88 or 89, then brought back in 1990, let go again and brought back in 91 or 92.

Weirdest WWF->WCW jump for me was always Barry Horowitz.
Though his WWF run didn't make sense either, in a different way. Get the guy over huge as an underdog, immediately give him the gimmick "Jewish Urkel," make him continue to lose to everyone.

I heard about Scott Hall wrestling in ECW, but he was never actually on TV. Does anybody know the details of this?

I heard about Scott Hall wrestling in ECW, but he was never actually on TV. Does anybody know the details of this? This is all speculation by me: But considering this was after his time in WCW, I think Heyman wasn't confident enough in Hall's sobriety to keep him on the main show, plus with how his friends Nash and Michaels have acted was also wanting to see if he would play ball. The fact that Hall lost both of his matches in ECW showed the latter, but it didn't really matter as ECW wasn't long for the world. Incidentally, here's the match vs. Big Sal. www.youtube.com/watch?v=de_CYCyy9Mo

Axl Rotten having a brief stint in WCW 1991 will always be a strange one to me. A guy who would go onto be viewed as a hardcore icon pretending to be British and feuding with 'Rapmaster' PN News in a still very much "Southern Rasslin'" version of WCW was wild. Similarly, the Bad Breed (Axl and Ian) forming in the GWF.

Black Bart and Buddy Rose in WWF in 1990 Buddy was scheduled for Royal Rumble 1991 but I guess bolted a few days/weeks before the PPV. That seems nutty to me, that he wouldn't stick around for a PPV pay day. Valentine and Tito weren't even scheduled for the Rumble based on the PPV program but freaking Buddy Rose was! To be fair, Valentine was scheduled originally via WWF magazine December issue but he had either left or got let go, signed with Herb Abrams and then Vince asked him back. It just seems so odd when a guy who probably wasn't getting huge pay days like WWF decides to leave.

When I watched old episodes of Superstars and Wrestling Challenge on YouTube (a lot are still there, but I used to come across a lot of old wrestling back in 2017), I wondered about Shane Douglas's early-1990s WWF run. It felt like they were trying to get him over and stuff, but I am not sure if a lot of people talk about his run at that time.

The Headbangers getting a match on Smackdown in 2016 was an interesting choice.
Not that it led to much but i think around 06 and 07 in Deep South the WWE signed on 2 Cold Scorpio, Gangrel, one of the Godwins and another veteran. If i'm remembering right the newz was that Gangrel was going to be teaming with Kevin Thorn in ECW. I don't know if they just bought in as player coaches or if the plan was to eventually bring them up but none of them lasted very long.
I'll also add Dave Taylors Smackdown run. He teamed with Regal for a few months and then Drew McIntyre who also had an obscure run. That team was broken up when they moved Drew to Raw so he could have a run on Heat before he got sent to FCW and Taylor was released.
