Tons of unused things were uncovered late last year for WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game, Including sprites for Adam Bomb, Mr. Perfect being planned, Several unused attacks & fatalities including a gruesome bisecting fatality for Razor Ramon, A immolation Fatality for Bam Bam Bigalow & a giant ball which flats the opponent as Doink's Fatality. among many others

Yep, as Phelous covered.
I think the Adam Bomb thing made some video game mags, leading to a minor Mortal Kombat-like assumption that he was in the game and you needed a code.
Wasn't Diesel meant to be there too, or am I thinking of a mag/etc. asking why he wasn't? (he just came in/wasn't being pushed when the game was being programmed)

My goodness, what an amazing page and post. Stuff like this I love to find out years later.
Makes me wonder if there are more video games from the WWF that had characters we didn't know about.

Love how the unused referee was just a total stereotypical nerd.

There were a shit ton of characters removed from SvR2009. Deuce/Domino/Cherry, DH Smith, Kevin Thorn, Floyd Maywether, The Burchills to name a few. Their audio files are still hidden on disc.

What an incredible find! Seeing all these 'lost' animations for a game so crystalized in our minds is kind of surreal.
I had heard about Adam Bomb before, but never Perfect! Him no-showing as the reason why he got cut is kinda funny in retrospect, though it sounds like he or someone else would've gotten the axe if he did wind up going to the shoot. With an already snug roster, it would've made a big difference in how people remember the game.
I wonder if there are assets that were produced for Jeff Jarrett for In Your House? We have pictures of him in his orange singlet getup from the shoot, so they at the very least had the footage to do it. It's very cool to see how much work was done for Adam Bomb, from the iconic portrait for the character select screen all the way to the many animations they did wind up completing. I always just figured he made it to conceptual, and that was it.

Interesting stuff. I had heard about Bomb being originally intended for the game but didn't realize how much work was put into him before he was scrapped. Had no idea about Perfect. (he just came in/wasn't being pushed when the game was being programmed) I doubt Diesel was intended. With Perfect and Bomb being originally intended I'm guessing that the process of making the game started around September-October 1993 as Perfect left shortly before the Survivor Series that year and Bomb wasn't getting pushed any more by winter 93/94 as he was clearly someone they didn't have any plans for. Diesel was still pretty much just Shawn's bodyguard at that point and was just starting to wrestle at that point. Also he wasn't really getting pushed either early on either as he was putting Perfect over around the house show circuit and was eliminated first in his Survivor Series match. If anything it seemed like the companies plans for Bomb and Diesel switched around early 94. Wouldn't surprise me Bomb was someone they had higher hopes for initially (him being slated for this game kind of confirms that as if you made a video game roster from 88 to 96 you were a big deal as only eight to twelve wrestlers got in the game back then) but then around Rumble time they soured on Bomb and fell in love with Diesel. Also wouldn't surprise me at all if Shawn having Vince's ear had something to do with. When Shawn was out serving his drug suspension in the fall of 93 Diesel was floundering. However after Shawn came back then his fortunes improved dramatically.

It seems like Diesel was just too early for WWF Wrestlemania and just too late for WWF In Your House. For IYH, they managed to get the Wrestlemania-returning Ultimate Warrior, but Diesel gave his notice around that same Wrestlemania before leaving in the summer. It probably made no sense to have Diesel (and Razor) go to the film shoot when they would be out of the company when the game released later that year in '96.

I always heard Nash was supposed to be in WrestleMania but couldn't or wouldn't do the filming.
