For wrestling being such an old, expressive and physical art, I know little (prior to research actually none) works of fine art depicting it. There are of course countless paintings showing amateur wrestling and mythical figures, but pro wrestling seems to be a rare topic. Which is a shame, because I think it would have made for amazing artworks in every era.
I myself am mostly interested in paintings. Of course there's an influx of fan art with great technical skill today, but that focuses on individuals or not necessarily on wrestling as just a general topic. In the examples I found it's not even clear if they show pro wrestling, but the feeling is very pro wrestling:
Rosalyn Drexler? (A tricky one. Drexler was a wrestler herself, turned into a pretty wild novelist (Cosmopolitan Girl, a novel about a love story between a young woman and her well-mannered dog, is a wild read) and general artist, but I couldn't find artworks that go beyond referencing wrestling.)
Do you know of any other examples? Any more or less famous artist who may or may not have had a fondness for wrestling?

Not a big fan of Pop Art, but those are some cool pictures! Wrestling goes well with Blake's style. Although I'm most fascinated with the photo on top of the article. Looks like it should be at least 20 years older and like Blake should go on managing Abyss.
