I'm all for a personal conduct policy, don't get me wrong. I think Pacman has a case though. All he has to say is "I've been clean since you made this policy." Example: If you get your license at 16, turn 17, and the state changes the minimum driving age to 18, they can't make you hand back your license. I think the situations a lot different than having your license being revoked because of your age. The policy was put into play almost exclusively because of Pac Man's actions. A man was crippled in the chaos that followed something that Jones caused, and I don't see how he should get off the hook for that. Hopefully, missing a year out of football will straighten his life out and get him a HOF career. But this man has said that he's rather quit football than get rid of his friends, who have been said to have had a terrible influence on Jones. It's admirable to stick by your friends, but not if they end up costing you your livelihood, and possibly, your freedom. "Having a case" is lawyer speak that doesn't necessarily reflect personal opinions ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Is it effecting anyone else but him? No. So..who cares? I do. I'll be frank (can I still be Garth). I'm tired of the pot lobby asking this question. This lobby talks about alcohol and the various ways it can kill people. Then they talk about people dying from cigarettes. But when it comes to pot: "More people die from tipped over vending machines than from smoking pot." When it comes to alcohol and cigarettes, those don't kill you either. It's the car you drive whilst drunk, or the cancer you get from inhaling the smoke. How is pot immune to those scenarios? It isn't, but the lobby will have you think it is. Pot doesn't cause lung cancer. Look it up if you don't believe me. I'm not saying it's good for you..and I;'ve never smoked it..but IMO it's still better than cigs and alcohol. Actually..in light doses I don't think it's very bad at all. The point is though..whatever harm he is doing..he is doing to himself. I guess I can understand the league trying to protect it's image..but we as a society should have more things to worry about then if a guy smokes pot. www.webmd.com/lung-cancer/news/20060523/pot-smoking-not-linked-to-lung-cancerThis link is from webmd..not the pot lobby. You can make the case that somehow, somewhere..pot causes death..but so does pretty much everything else, and you don't ban it unless it causes direct harm to others.

I'm just sick of being in the porno section of my video store, and every time some guy reeking of weed comes in. It makes us porn watchers look bad ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png)

I don't see being suspended for a year for jackass behavior is a slap on the wrist. That's gonna be a big hit in Jones' pockets, as I don't believe he'll be paid for it (someone feel free to correct me on that). True and, the Titans can ask for a prorated portion of his signing bonus back as well, costing him more cash. How many suspensions is this for Ricky anyway? Technically this his still his second. First offense is counseling. Second is a 4 game suspension. Third is at least one year before you can ask to come back.
