All of his runs were bizarre it seems in the WWE, especially with how loved he is everywhere else.

His brief spat with Austin was pretty cool, like the original outlaw redneck vs. next gen outlaw redneck.

His 98 run would have been a lot better had Vince told him no to the stupid Chainsaw Charlie idea.

I missed Funk’s cowboy prime as a kid, so most of what I knew of him was being the crazy guy Flair fought at that clash show and his ECW run being hyped up in the Apter mags. During Attitude I was just confused on why he felt the need to chop other wrestlers up all of a sudden.

The announcers seem to know who the hell he is so why? lol

Was this during the time when Foley was supposedly convincing Vince to do an exploding barbed wire match at the Double Cross Ranch for Mania and Vince mad them a tag team feuding with the Outlaws. lol

According to the Titan trilogy books, they did get in trouble from WLNY and the station manager (who is a born again Christian I believe) told them that they were being shown at 12a. Now as far as the exploding death match at WM14, according to the Titan trilogy boooks, Vince knowing that they were getting more eyes on their product in years (especially eyes who hadn’t seen their product before), told Mick that the exploding death match was not going to be a good look for them as far as a first impression goes.

That doesn't make sense. Shotgun Saturday Night was already in that exact timeslot when the Funk segment happened.

I think he was paid by appearance in 97.He was also ECW World Champion that April. He retired for a moment than was brought back to WWE.
