... to take the mask of a jobber everyone's already seen the face of anyway.
Well that's utterly random.
Edit: Well that thread took a turn.

I mean the mask itself does have symbolic value so to quote Taz, it's not for nothing.

Is this the first Mask vs Career match in AEW? If so, it's pretty underwhelming.

A ragged piece of cloth vs the AEW career of Andrade? Hmmm, I'll go with the cloth.

I’m not as critical of Tony Khan as some, but dude really can’t help but to incorporate the whole “Andrade wants out” controversy into the show.
The contract tampering reference was cringy, but I’ll admit it made me laugh.

I’ll miss you, Andrade El Igloo
Can they just make it a thing where he faces each member of the Dark Order with random items of theirs on the line

Honestly, I like it. Luchas de Apuesto gives it some stakes. We're either going to see a fundamental change in 10 or we're going to see 10 get the significance of being the guy who ran Andrade out of AEW.
The rumor is already out regarding Andrade wanting his release, so playing into that for the stipulation rather than just giving us Andrade losing one-on-one with no stipulation and us shrugging going "Guess he's out of here" after the bell rings.
The stipulation gives us more places to go, like 10 winning but still choosing to unmask and taking that moment to turn on Dark Order. There's more heat and character development from that. Or, Andrade is staying and we see him either leave Dark Order or change the Dark Order around him.

It ends with Andrade winning and bringing in Salina De La Renta as the new spokesperson for him and his crew.

Andrade been dropping mad hints lately about potentially finishing up with AEW...
Might be a red herring, but my eyebrows were definitely raised when I heard 10 make that counter stipulation on Rampage

Do you remember when these kind of stakes were built up and actually meant something?

Do you remember when these kind of stakes were built up and actually meant something? That's the thing that gets me - it's a stip match that should be extremely high stakes and meaningful, but it's booked for free TV, probably won't even main event and gives off "TNA gimmick match on free TV with no build" vibes.

There's been a lot of things AEW's been doing lately that have been giving off that "TNA" stink, and this is going to be one of those, since it'll likely be a match that takes place around 8:40pm and goes on for 10 minutes.

Has there ever been a reverse mask match where the loser has to now become a masker? Asking for a friend, bro.

This will be on Rampage(which will be live), not Dynamite.
